JDB A VIKE! (1 Viewer)

NFL.com posted the pick before changing the team, I, too, thought the Packers had drafted Booty and was laughing pretty hard at it.

Hard not to like the pick. Consider where the last few USC signal callers were drafted; and then factor in how little financial commitment the Vikes are committing for a guy with a stellar collegiate pedigree. Could be their starter in 2009 if Tarvaris doesn't get it done.

He's probably the most NFL-ready QB in the draft. Doesn't have the upside of Ryan et al., but he might be the best QB for 2008.Wise pickup for the Vikings, but very scary for all the Tarvaris Jackson owners out there.

Hope he keeps the serial killer name because I am targetting him for the Vikes 2009 starter, and backup for FavreCo, if not before.

:hey: Personally.. I think TJax is going to be great value this off-season.

Picking Booty was an excellent selection by the Vikes.

After I was initially let down a little bit we didn't grab Brohm (the safety is good though), I couldn't have been happier w/ our draft. Booty was a nice pickup and our 6th round burner is worth a rip.

Must say, we've done well the last few offseasons.

I hate to disagree here but..

I watched every game USC played this year and last year. I know lots of USC fans that were screaming for Sanchez. This guy makes more poor throws than you can imagine. I don't know how many times I saw the Trojan WRs have to dig the ball out, make difficult catches on what should be easy throws, etc. I question Booty's decision making. I really don't think he's the guy you want.

I know there are some large leagues, but I can't imagine that anyone actually has Tarvaris Jackson tucked away and feels good about it.
