From CBS...

Jennings limited due to groin injury

Greg Jennings, WR GB

News: Packers WR Greg Jennings was limited in practice Thursday due to a groin injury. The Packers host the Rams in Week 6.

Analysis: Late-week injuries are no laughing matter, so we only hope that this is a minor injury and Jennings is back at practice on Friday. He is a good Fantasy start no matter the matchup, but the Rams' secondary is depleted by injuries, so Jennings is certainly doesn't want to miss this matchup.

GB has so many options, who would benefit most, if anybody, if Jennings misses some time?

Can't be that bad if they are letting him practice at all on it.

Ok if you say so

I'm starting Jordy Nelson AND James Jones this week.

If you have any other questions about my team, sorry, I'm too busy to answer them.

As someone who is playing against Jennings this week, I think that they should rest him and let him get fully healed.

As a Jennings owner, I find it sad to come to this thread for news about Jennings and instead read comments about Battle. Seriously, what is going on in the Shark Pook these days?

To answer one of the OP's questions, I think Finley and all GB WRs get a bump if Jennings winds up being out or shut down due to being limited in the game.

James Jones has been playing great. I think he continues to see playing time and targets. Jennings being out/limited only increases his role.

yeah this "bump finley shtick is passe" the bump flavor of the week shtick is wack" And I own battle in two leagues. Just trite.

But re: the actual question posed by the OP: I think that it does obviously gives more potential upside/value to Nelson/Jones/Finley, and to a lesser extent Cobb. Anyone know what Donald Drivers status is? That would also help with determining this.

More time on the field in 2/3/4 wr sets. Might even create a smidgen of opportunity for crabtree.

Hmmm. interesting. this doesn't even mention the injury.

Donald Driver insists he's "fine" with his declining role in the Packers offense.Coach Mike McCarthy boiled over when asked about it this week, likely in an effort to stand up for a respected veteran. "I think if I'm fine with it, then everybody else has to be fine with it," added Driver. "I'm not walking around here with my head down." We suspect Driver will continue to play closer to one-third of the snaps with James Jones' playing time increasing. Oct 13 - 1:34 PMSource: Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel

James Jones is rostered in my league.

But wondering if Randall Cobb is worth a pickup as a sort of "handcuff" for Jennings (even tough I'm a Nelson owner, not a Jennings owner).

Anyone think he's worth rostering?

As a Nelson owner, I'm thinking Cobb might be worth holding onto. Seems like James Jones would keep his WR3 role. Driver is playing sparsely. So if Jennings or Nelson were out, Cobb could have a starting role, no?

Jennings is still listed as probable. I think his being thought of as OUT is premature.

Greg Jennings was added to the Packers' injury report as a limited with a groin injury Thursday. The Green Bay beat writers have no expressed no concern over Jennings' injury yet. At this point, we still expect him to start against the Rams. Check back Friday afternoon for a full update. Oct 13 - 5:58 PM

Funny how a player is said to be "Limited" can bring about such a flurry of activity about who will be picking up his playing time.

Thursday's are usually slow for fantasy football info so I guess I can see the the need for discussion about SOMETHING. Seems as though he has been overlooked a bit for awhile and really hope he can find a way onto the field for this game.

My guess is that he was "limited" solely to give him a rest during the mid-week practice grind. Lots of proven veterans follow similar schedules.

It sounds alot like he's going to play, he is listed to day-to-day but I doubt he doesn't start. Therefore I rescind my finley bump.

I think so. Nelson and Jones out wide, Cobb in the slot. If Cobb played a lot in the the #3/slot role, he could be a huge. I assume they'd work Driver in a little as well, but his role would likely be limited.
