Jersey Guys... I need some 101 (1 Viewer)

I've owned a couple jerseys over the years. The 40-50 dollar kind.  I wash them with the regular laundry and the number/name start to peel after a few years.  I want to know if this is common with that type of investment or am I handling them wrong.  Ideally I'd like to buy one or two jerseys to last 10-20 years. 

Do I just need to spend the 100+ to make this happen?

Never dry those jerseys!  The heat from the dryer is awful and will make the numbers peel fast.  Minimize the washes, and make sure it's on a low spin cycle.  Also turn it inside out.  I've always bought the stitched jerseys as they can last forever if you take care of them

And make sure to tuck it into your slacks.
