It’s so frustrating to be a Bills fan. They finally get an elite QB and seem to put things together and yet horribly improbable awful things keep happening to them. I seriously think that was at least the 4th, maybe even 5th time in the last season and a half that an ambulance has been on the field for a Buffalo Bill defensive player.
The Bills already lost Tre White for the year and they have now lost THREE defensive backs tonight; 2 on one play.
I just….I don’t know.

Honestly, the offense has looked way more comfortable and in sync for Buffalo than it has in a while. Diggs has dropped 3 balls (plus fumbled one that was recovered by the Bills) and the Jets have a really good defense that has tightened up in the red zone so far.Was forced to start both Diggs and Shakir. Needless to say, I'm going to lose.

Jets fans, Steeler fans feel your pain with QB ineptitude. But at least you'll have Rodgers next year. We have to put up with Pickett for who knows how many years to come.

Going to be interesting to hear from the “Ken Dorsey wasn’t the problem” crowd this week. The Jets have a good defense and Buffalo’s offense has looked light years better all day.

1. McDermott is extremely loyal to his guys
2. When you looked at all the analytics/efficiency ratings for the Buffalo offense they were really really good. So it was easy to buy the argument from the analytics guys that the issue was just bad luck and turnovers. Meanwhile, it was pretty clear actually watching the games that nothing on offense was ever easy and that defenses always seemed to know what Buffalo was doing.

It's early, but the offense does look better. HOF coaches like Shula were loyal to some assistants too long that didn't produce, thinking of D Coordinator Olivadotti who was eventually fired. Belichick has made some bad decisions based on loyalty/history. The Dolphins have had lots of churn at assistant coaches under year 2 of McDaniel, so far paying off.

I think we are seeing the changing of the guard from Davis to Shakir. Seriously doubt Davis is back next year. Made a small trade in dynasty to get Shakir.

I watched the game—like I watch almost all Jets games—with an amused and ironic yet passionate rooting interest. I did not see Gabe Davis out there at all. I think he played snaps, but I just didn't see him.

He is one of their best blockers, and IIRC a team captain. It’s strange that this came up without a word of warning.

Maybe coach was reading the sports writers asking why they benched Cook and not Davis or Allen.

Gabe Davis train really, really left the building the past few weeks. That locomotion will likely be somewhere else next year, and I don't like his prospects wherever he goes.
