**Jets at Giants** (+3, 35.5) 1:00 (1 Viewer)

While the Giants are ostensibly the home team, I expect this to be a pro-Jets crowd, given the quality of the 2 teams this year.

I think the clock strikes midnight so to speak for Tyrod Taylor this week, as he finally has a tough matchup, and even then as much talk about how well he's played since taking over, he's scored 9 and 14 against 2 mediocre defenses. It could get rough against a top one, especially as I think the Jets can play man, and focus on shutting down Barkley.

Garrett Wilson has been top-5 in targets this season, and this feels like a week it could pay off with production, as I imagine the Giants will focus more attention on Hall and try to make Zach Wilson beat them. Zach has been playing the best football of his career of late (low bar) so its possible/likely he's up to it.

I'll say Jets win 27-10.

Only eight hours to go.

Battle of the backup QBs. Should be one of two sadly underachieving teams (for different reasons) coming away with the victory here.

Zach Wilson can look so bad that I can't predict a winner, otherwise I would say this looks like a game the Jets should win on paper. But is their defense a paper tiger?

Their DVOA on defense is actually 11th, which isn't as great as their boastful claims of being on par with the '85 Bears.

Ty >> Zach but the rest of the jets are much better than the Giants.

24-21 in a surprisingly fun game.

As a Jets fan, I'd feel MUCH better about this game if the right side of the O-line was intact. But after losing AVT (for the season) and Tippman (originally feared for the season but now probably not) in back to back weeks, they're scrambling on that side. Gotta think it limits their ability to really run the ball the way they want.

The Jets still have the much more talented roster (QB play aside) IMO, but they've been TRASH out of the bye week in each of Saleh's first 2 seasons. (54-13 and 3-10....both times in New England). Maybe that's more of a Belichek owning Zach thing than a Saleh not prepping the team thing, but I guess we'll see.

I still think the Jets find a way to win, but between their inconsistency and the likely weather (already raining here in NJ and that seems likely to continue) its far from a sure thing.

Jets got their corners back, so I think they do enough. Maybe something like 24-13 with Breece breaking a long one.

I really think it is because of Belichick. Look for Occam's razor when you can find it. He owns young QBs. I think it's a combo of Wilson's completely erratic and terrible play mixed with Belichick doing to him what he did to Darnold, too.

As a Giants fan, I expect this to be an embarrassing game with the Jets winning easily. On the other hand, I'm usually wrong when I make predictions, so hopefully that continues.

Battle of The Meadowlands.
Winner claims the swamp for one year.
Jets defense is good but not the "greatest of all time" as some speculated early in the season.
Giants defense has played well the last two weeks.
Game plans could be the same for both D coaches. Extra defenders in the box to stop/slow Hall and Barkley. Force a backup qb to make plays.
I think defense will control this game and each team will a big play or two downfield.
Who makes the biggest one?
My Nostradumdass dish of water says....Jaylen Hyatt...

G-Men- 23
Gotham- 20

From a fantasy standpoint, it’s supposed to be raining pretty steadily all day and may taper off later in the afternoon. Expect a heavy dose of Breece and Saquon. I doubt too many are starting either QB or any pass catchers outside of Wilson and Waller, but I would keep my expectations low for the passing game. #captainobvious

Definitely even more concerned than usual about injuries though, as even on a dry day the field is a disaster for injuries.

All I want out of this game is Saquon to stay healthy-ish. And maybe get traded to a different team today.

I think the Jets win in comfortable fashion and it's an ugly, ugly New York in October kinda game.

jets don’t usually score TDs, so 4x3 for 12. jets have corners back, but have trouble with mobile qbs. giants stink, 2x3 for 6.

i think both wilson and taylor do something stupid to incur a safety for each team.

jets 14 - giants 8.

i think we will see 17 crowd shots of people with faces painted, fireman ed, someone wearing a facemask and people without shirts.

raining slick painted field at craplife stadium means 1 serious knee injury.

MetLife Stadium upgraded their turf away from the controversial slit stuff and into turf more amenable to bodies. That does not mean there won't be a serious injury today. It's football. But the stuff about the turf is antiquated.

Until they get grass, which they ought to do, they will never hear the end of it. Take care of the athletes. Get grass.

Really wish the cameras and the crowd itself would stop giving him attention. He ditched the team several years ago after being unhappy with them, only to return a few years later. Doesn’t deserve the recognition.
