Braelon Allen is the short-yardage back. It’s pretty clear. Breece is getting first crack, but they’re not going to mess around with 2nd and goal from the two after they just handed Breece the ball from the four.

We know this. We didn’t know this at the beginning of the year, but it’s been clear for weeks now. I personally think it’s silly to give Allen double digit carries to average 2.7 YPC, but hey, to each team its own.

Now let’s see if the Jets can hold on here. They might not.

You realize that once the season is over that Breece is likely to see a reduced role, right? They’ll work Allen in more to see what they’ve got in him with Hall’s contract looming after next year.

So I have a trade in place for my Puka and Jonathan Brooks for their Breece Hall and Odunze. I’d have a lineup of Nabers, Worthy, Legette, and Pearsall at receiver with Kyren, Breece, Bigsby, Allgeier, Tracy, Ray Davis and Vidal. We start 3WR.

My Jets look like dogshit though…per usual.

Oh, actually no way they get up to the line and run an appropriate play, IMO. NE needed to do that. Things get all hectic down there. Better to settle it down on 4th and 1 and assure yourself the score rather than worry about leaving twenty seconds on the clock.

Don't think they can beat anyone they are one of the most over hyped and worst disciplined teams in the last few years but given that they lost to the lowly Pats there's really zero pressure now which makes for a dangerous team. Just like last year when Texans faced the Jets with Wilson who played like he didn't care what the outcome was and played well. Since you can run on this Jets defense hopefully Mixon will have a huge game and they can play ball controlled offense.

That's why I was hoping they were going to beat Pats now if they are going to play the my life depends on it type of game like they did last year against Texans I don't like the outcome. Only hope is they just have given up and don't care.

This is setting up the same situation as last year where the Texans lose their big WR prior (Dell) then go into a hapless floundering Jets team and Zach plays probably his best game I think because at that point he had nothing to lose. The kitchen sink. The weather was awful and Texans didn't have Mixon and the Jets defense isn't great like last year but I would definitely not be shocked at all if Jets win come Thursday. Jets were favored to win prior to yesterday and should have put $ on Texans getting points and now giving points to hedge. Oh well. Texans right now only favored by a point on some sites and 1.5 on others.

i read the nyj opened as 1.5 faves, how is this possible? i wonder if the wise guys know something. i can’t not fathom the jets being favored over a 6-2 squad with a real qb. on a short week, with the jet coaching staff, this screams let’s not get hurt before next year.
