Jets DST ranking (1 Viewer)

First off, love the FBG product. It just so happens people tend to speak up the one time they are confounded by a ranking rather than giving kudos the hundred times they agree wholeheartedly with rankings. But oh well, it's week 15, and I'm flatly blown away by the ranking of Jets D. I just can't make any rhyme or reason of it. They are on the road where their defense has not scored, visiting a ball control Steelers team that does not give up defensive FF points at home.

Jets - Defensive points home/away

Week 1: 10 points

Week 2: 8 points

Week 3: 4 points (away)

Week 4: 8 points (away)

Week 5: 16 points

Week 6: 5 points (away)

Week 8: 4 points

Week 9: 2 points (away)

Week 10: 7 points (away)

Week 11: 3 points

Week 12: 19 points

Week 13: 3 points (away)

Week 14: 13 points

Away defensive FF points: 4, 8, 5, 2, 7, 3

Steelers - Defensive points allowed home/away

Week 1: 5 points (home)

Week 2: 6 points

Week 3: 4 points

Week 4: 5 points (home)

Week 6: 2 points (home)

Week 7: 7 points

Week 8: 9 points

Week 9: 5 points

Week 10: 13 points (home)

Week 11: 4 points (home)

Week 12: 7 points

Week 13: 6 points

Week 14: 4 points (home)

Home defensive FF points allowed: 5, 5, 2, 13 (Patriots), 4, 4

I do see that Dodds has dropped the Jets 3 places between early cheat sheet and Friday updates, but they're still rated high. Now, I get that any DST can go off any week, but why the Jets, why an opponent visiting Steelers? I'm actually looking to pick up trash off the FA pile if that is what it takes to keep Jets DST nowhere within the vicinity of my do-or-die playoff starting roster. Someone help me understand why Jets should be rated any higher than #25 DST in week 15 with a game @ Pittsburgh.

TIA

Jets D is ranked #3 in NFL for yards and #6 for points. You can't rank them too low.

With that said, I'd certainly have them lower, maybe in the 12-15 range.

Steelers are good and all but their offense can be held in check a bit. The two wins before they played the Bengals were low scoring with 13 & 19 points. The point being there is a high probability that this game will be low scoring. O/U 36 with the JETS getting 5 1/2 points. JETS D ranked #7 for the week sounds right to me and the Steelers #2 ranked for the week. Low scoring affair where one D could thrive on an extra turnover or two. Which team that will be all depends on the JETS D line matchup v PITT Offensive line in my opinion.

Not to mention that the offense wasn't the reason for a higher score against the BunglesPittsburgh should be lower without Troy in the lineup

Immobile Rothlesberger and expected to scoring game I guess but I agree they seem low in most rankings Ive seen.

I trust Miami more than them this week but the rankings don't support me.
