Jets need to sign TO or Plax, its bad! (1 Viewer)

shouldn't they also sign a qb?
Yeah I would love to trade Sanchez for Matt Flynn and Tebow for Colin Kapernick, but they probably wouldnt even go for that!
Kaperkick slapped Tebow in the face this past week. :lmao:
Thats why I am hoping for him, plus Kapernick is in my good graces, because I started the Jets Defense and I would have lost if he didnt slide at the end of that game! Nice guy!

Tebow, Plax, Owens and Ochosucko. Ratings!

Is Lawrence Phillips out of jail? Winslow is looking for a job.

Hey I was actually interested in Winslow. I dont know why anyone is joking really because it IS THAT BAD! At this point we should at the very least be thinking of salvaging the season and giving the veterans something to play for. If we dont make the playoffs this year the next step is rebuilding everything and thats another 3yrs plus! Not to mention it doesnt cost you anything and you can cut them on the spot like the pats did with Kellen Winslow!

Take this with a grain of salt of course, but my buddy who is a teacher was talking to a security guard at his school - who also works security at Met Life Stadium - Plaxico was seen meeting with Rex Ryan after the game on Sunday.

Regardless of how long Holmes will be out, Jets feel bringing back Plaxico Burress would hamper Sanchez. Highly unlikely they would sign him

Well that works for me! Its gotta happen Word is Holmes done for the season likely.

Not a Jets fan so I largely ignore this situation (no Jets ff players either). But, is it REALLY that bad?? You guys have pretty much listed replacing that entire team.

Hamper Sanchez, Jets are stupid, dude doesnt have a future right now! Sanchez had his best numbers of his careeer with Plaxico. I dont get it!

So don't understand this mentality.

Why would you want this team to get 1 iota better? They probably weren't a playoff team in the AFC when fully healthy and they certainly aren't one now without Revis and Holmes.

Suck like LHUCKS for 12 more weeks and get a top 5, maybe the 1st overall, draft pick in 2013.

Its that bad, and when you have the Giants in town its worse. I love Rex and I dont want to see him lose his job, but they cant have another season out of the playoffs. I am not one of those fans that is ready to give up on Sanchez but the years of waiting on a QB to grow are really over. We cant afford to treat him like Eli and wait to see everything work out! Not gonna happen. Houston is gonna roll them too.

Normally I would subscribe to this notion. But getting a pick on an aging team, that wont get better is like trying to stop a Tsunami with your face. If we were Carolina and we lost 2 star players then yeah I am down. The majority of the Defense and our O-line is old. Landry probably wont be back and isnt Revis due another contract. I mean losing now means losing for the next 3 years.

well, it's not what I'd call good.revis is pretty much the lynchpin of their defense, their one true star player, and he's out for the year.until they just signed that det cb off teh street they had been working on converting joe mcknight (rb) to corner.their #1 wr might be done for the year, and the #2 wr they drafted has been out with a hammy, or something.they currently start chaz schillens and jeremy kerley.their te, keller, has been out with some injury.their #1 rb sux.they basically have no RT.and sanchez is their qb.

The Jets could be prime trade players for Greg Jennings if he can get healthy and the Jets want to win now even though they're down Holmes, Revis, etc.

Boy..in bullet format, it looks bleak.. That is a lot of ugly there. I had forgotten about Keller and greene in all this mix.

And where did Plax get them last year? 8-8. Fantastic. OK. Bring the guy in so he can get you one more win and cost your team 5-6 draft slots.

I agree %100 with this. Tank the season and grab a QB in the first round of the draft. Which QB has the biggest potential in the 2013 draft? Also, they gotta get rid of Mike Tannenbaum.

It's starting to look like Jets fans should be watching (scouting) football on Saturdays and do yard work on Sundays.

The draft is not gonna get this team in the playoffs. Plaxico didnt get them to 8-8 he played good on a team that wasnt very good. Its a different year, and fact of the matter is we still have a decent record. Not doing anything is what will be the worst decision.

It's a shame they don't have Brad Smith still.

They could have had him play Quarterback.

Converting Joe McKnight into a Cornerback worked out swimmingly so why not experiment some more?

At least Brad would be better than Tebow at the wildcat! I dont understand why this guy never holds the ball with both hands to at least make it look like he could throw at any time! Plus he added weight and he is slower now!

Jets fans were so high and mighty just a few years ago. Where have they all gone?
We're still here, and we had every right to be high-and-mighty when our team was one win away from the Superbowl two years in a row. This is pretty typical of a team that is on the downslide.:dunno:

In 2013 the Jets owe Santanio Holmes 7.5 million . . . . .guaranteed.

During his career with the Jets (32 games) he has averaged 3.8 catched per game and 52.2 yards.

That's VALUE right there !

Oof

the Jets are not as good as they were against Buffalo and not as bad as they were against the Niners. without Revis they are a spoiler not a contender and will be underdogs the rest of the way. But the schedule gets easier and they will probably even out about .500. Win or lose, with Rex and tebow, it will be entertaining.

alot of people hate on the Jets but if your favorite team lost their best player, you'd be singing the blues too.

Nobody's gonna trade them a WR, its sign someone off the street or nothing.
Indeed.Mainly because they don't have decent bait on their roster. Revis is the only one who would get serious attention, and he's out for the year.

Bad football fascinates me.

If you look back at seasons past bad teams can have solid reliable seasons out of some WRs that years later people don't remember, but local fans do.

Someone will emerge.

Stephen Hill I went in whole hog for at the beginning of the season believing in his size and talent. Then I saw him drop that deep ball near the goal line vs PIT and the rest of that game was no better. He's not there yet.

Schillens and Kerley - Kerley, just because it looks like he can get open. The idea of the reliable quick out possession receiver appears lost on the Jets. Sanchez needs to find a reliable receiver and go to him all the time. That should be Kerley.

They should also get McKnight in at WR, and consider using him as a receiver out of the backfield as a primary option ahead of Greene and Powell. Yes, for Zeus' sake try something.

The terrible thing is if and when Tebow comes in all the rules will change.

Tebow had DThomas, Decker & McGahee in Denver. In NY he would have Hill/Schillens, Kerley & Greene? Not good.

Play Keller at WR where he belongs.

The WR production they can get is all Tebow would need. It's set up perfectly for him. Cue the guys on wallstreet doing that Tebow one knee thing and the Jets are all set.
