Jets RB Barlow Out Of Rotation? (1 Viewer)

People should realise that at least for this year, starting any Jets RB is risky. Some points have been made about GB being softer up the middle and tougher to run on the outside against, and those are solid points, but.... Mangini just loves to do the unexpected. Both Mangold and Ferguson are exceptional at pulling and blocking in space. With the expected weather in GB tomorrow, don't be surprised to see Houston have a busy first quarter and then become only a small part of the game plan.... IF Leon has any success on the outside and with screens. Just sayin....

Hey Rovers, let me know what ya think of Hawk after the game
I haven't seen him play yet, but he is already my top ranked dynasty league ranked LB. It's more than just his ability, which seems to have carried over into the NFL, it's also GB's D scheme. Even if McCarthy gets shown the door, the GB D scheme will remain the same given the core players they have.... Hawk will be a 3 down WLB forever in a 4-3. Barnett/Hodge makes for a problem, but with Kampman and KGB, that is a 4-3 D. I'm looking forward to this game. How Mangini tries to attack a very fast LB corp, and what looks/blitzes they try to throw at Favre. Can Favre save the cold weather Lambue mystique? (Never could remember how to spell Lambuae, and am too lazy to look it up). For a couple of also ran teams, this should be a great game to watch. :banned:

i watched much of the game today. cedric ran hard and ran really well. but washington does provide a real nice compliment when hes in there. i'd be curious to see how they each do against a good run defense, because honestly, i think i could rip off a couple 15 yd runs against the Pack.

but houston did look strong and always made extra yards after contact. he came up shy on a couple short yardage situations, which surprised me, but other than that, he looked real good.

phil simms seems to think mangini will keep using them both liberally, and i tend to agree. i'm thinking we see houston/washington in a 3:2 ratio in terms of touches from here on out. both looked good.
