I missed this game. Can any Jets homers chime in? Is Leon Washington going to be the MAN moving forward. I lost Gore and Smith in one of my leagues and need to know if Leon is a good bet against the Saints next week.

no room to run, just like Houston game.

TD was vultured by play action pass to TE.

Long run late just like Houston, but called back due to penalty.

neither back ran especially well. The Jets run blocking has not been good.
Or it could be that the Titans run D stonewalled Willie Parker and company in the first game, stonewalled Steve Slaton the second game, and now did pretty good work against the Jets. I put it more on the Titans run D.

The titans have a good run D and Thomas Jones is hitting the wall that he probably should have hit 3 years ago.

Agree with what a lot of others have said. But don't think for an instant this guy will not continue to see opportunities. They will still attempt to control the ball on the ground first.

Buy low - tough run defense, combined with poor run blocking add in focus on the run due to rookie QB - Rex will keep pounding the ball - schedule gets easier and TJ will get his.

that was certainly part of it. However, the jets havent run the ball consistently yet this year. The Houston stat line looked pathetic until TJ broke 2 runs late in teh game. Before that, he was hovering around 1.8 YPC. Next week will be interesting. the Saints are probably the worst front 7 the jets have seen this year, and NY will need to run the ball to controll the clock and keep Brees on the sidelines. If the saints are constantly in the backfield and the O-line can't get consistent push, we officially have a pattern that i think Jets fans and TJ/Leon owners need to be concerned about (regardless of the 3-0 start that is mainly due to the defense)

Washington has been getting about 50% of workload this year. T Jones 48 rushes 2 receptions, Washington 41 rushes 7 receptions this year. Jones has had 2 td and Washington 0. I think in games agiants a lesser deffense they are both viable starts. The Saints have been a very good run defense this year, but I think L Washington is much like F Jackson (71 rush 26 rec yards agianst saints) and will get his yards.

Good stuff...

Stiff Tenn D... I also expected the Jets to stick with the run a little more...

yesterday Up 14-0 and driving at around the 36yd line I was SCREAMING for a few runs and a FG for a 17-0 lead and of course they call a pass and Sanchez fumbles, next thing you know it's 14-10....

Man, I thought Ryan wanted to establish pounding the ball - Up 14-0 is a good time to start, no?

Same thing later in the game 7 minutes on the clock BALL ON THE TENNESSE 39!!!!!! -they run on 1st down and that's it - Sheesh, establish the run at some point. Then, INTERCEPTION... Are you kidding me?

A lot of times yesterday it seems like the playcalling was a bit predicatable - Run on 1st down and then go back to the pass.

Credit Tennessee - But, the Jets held a lead here - I'm conservative but, I kinda expected Rex with a rookie QB to also be a bit more conservative - he even said at 1 point this season that he has to remember the identity of his team should be smashmouth run game....

So, maybe Thomas Jones has a lot to look forward to.....I HOPE SO....

Fantasy wise or not, this Jets team needs to establish the run this year.

Last year the Saints run D shut down ADP.....I only remember this because I had him. I have TJones and hopefully I wont have to play him.
