Jimmy Graham - TE, NO - Questionable (1 Viewer)

Jimmy Graham injury update: Questionable for SNF, annoying fantasy owners

Fantasy Cheat Sheet: The 10 tips that will help you win in Week 8

Excerpt:

3. Even if Jimmy Graham plays, don't start him.

There are too many things working against Jimmy Graham to make him a smart start this week. While he says his ankle is coming along, he's playing in a Sunday night game, which makes him a very risky start. If he does play, he could be used more as a decoy than an actual target.

"If it was up to me, I'd play," Graham said. "I'm good." Whether he plays is not up to him. Whether you start him is up to you. He might be "good," but it's not worth the risk.

Those who are dead set on playing Graham at all costs need to pick up his backup, David Thomas. Stashing Thomas in a league that allows lineup changes up to five minutes before kickoff provides a security blanket for fantasy players looking to get a piece of the likely Brees-Manning shootout. Thomas caught a touchdown pass against the Bucs in Graham's spot last week.
Saints Notebook: TE Jimmy Graham a game-time decision

He seems positive, like he's excited to play?

WHEELS UP!

Jimmy Graham, TE, NO

News:  Saints tight end Jimmy Graham is considered a game-time decision for Week 8 at Denver as a result of his troublesome ankle injury. Graham was officially listed as questionable on the team's injury report after he was a limited participant in practice Friday. The team will evaluate his condition for any swelling in the largest determination on his status. Graham said his ankle is "definitely" coming along as he looks to return to the field following a one-game absence. He tweeted Friday, "Happy to be back on the plane with the boys! Wheels up.."

Analysis:  Graham recorded 25 catches for 252 yards and three touchdowns while collecting at least eight targets in his first four games before suffering the injury in Week 5. If healthy, he will face a Broncos defense that has allowed 215 yards per game and surrendered 81 yards and two touchdowns to San Diego tight end Antonio Gates in Week 6. Denver is also allowing an average of 10.0 Fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends so Graham certainly would like to stay active for the enticing matchup. He's flying with the team, which is a positive sign heading into Sunday. We'll be first to know whether or not he'll be active this Sunday on Fantasy Football Today, 11 a.m. ET here on CBSSports.com and CBS Sports Network (check local listings).

Just saw #Saints TE Jimmy Graham practicing one-handed catches in warmups and is now being stretched out.

For me, Graham falls into the 'If he's active, you start him' category.

He's just too good to sit on the bench.
