Thought we might need a place to collect the Hall of Famer's nuggets of wisdom. From the first couple of games, here are a couple I can remember.

1. You want one of your best hitters batting third, so they can bat in the first inning.

2. Stealing up five runs is a bad play because of the injury risk.

I hear ya.My father past a way a few years back, but I have memories of him saying, "#### you, Joe Morgan" while watching Sunday night baseball.

Case and point. During Sundays game, he couldn't stop talking about how a ball was inside(not outside, like the catcher had asked for)......after five minutes of his blathering, they show the replay with the pitch clearly on the outside corner. All Morgan could say was...."look, this pitch isn't on the outside corner where the catcher wanted it, oh wait, yes it was"......I almost fell out of my Lazyboy.

I've hatted Morgan ever since he tried to make sure Sandburg didn't get into the HOF.
