Dynasty league... Looking at Porter. Any chance he returns to the glory years? Or is my recollection more about him being a real football force (vs fantasy)

Beware linebackers moving from the traditionally powerful defenses, such as Pittsburgh and Baltimore - they typically don't put up the same points. The PIT & Balt defenses have numerous playmakers on the squad that offenses game plan to stop, allowing the second tier players such as Porter, Hartwell, Kendrell Bell to rack up good fantasy points. But once they move to another team with a more promient role as playmaker, they seem to fall short of expectations.

Porter is an OLB, so he is not going to get the tackle numbers you'll need from a starting LB. Fantasy points will need to be supplemented by sacks, so your scoring system better heavily reward sacks for him to be considered starting caliber. My league has him #59 (1 pt tackle; 3 pts sack).

He's also 30 years old and already seems to have the injury bug. It seems he was far less than 100% for the first six games or so. So this may be depressing his 07 stats somewhat. When healthy, he can do better, but don't expect the big plays every week like he mad in weeks 12 & 13.

That said, it does appear that the MIA defense will be on the field a lot next year.

I was under the impression he was the strongside LB in MIA's 4-3, which would further hinder his potential scoring. Although MIA mixes up the 4-3 with 3-4 some, his scoring will be limited.

In summary, he is #4 LB at best in a typical 12 team league, but the scoring will be volatile - getting 4 points one week and 14 the next.

Great posting.
