RIP. He was reportedly 86, I think his wife at one time divorced than remarried him, her challenges in keeping the family together sounded considerable due to his mental health issues* (reportedly they improved in recent decades?).
Was wondering what the cause was when it said both he and his wife died, sounded like some kind of accident. Taxi on the way home from the airport, they were ejected from the vehicle, the driver was hospitalized (but didn't see the condition mentioned, or the cause of the accident). Bob Simon of 60 minutes died similarly recently (ejected from vehicle), not sure if it was a taxi accident?
* I read the book and saw the movie it was based on, both recommended (nothing like the college roomate in the movie attempted in the book - he met wife Jennifer Connolly during filming, and played Ultron [[or if it was different, James Spader's creation]] in the latest Avengers movie).
