Jon Kitna going forward? (1 Viewer)

Through four games, Mr. Kitna has put up:

Comp./Attempts 98/138 71%

Avg/Play 8.9

TD's 8

INT 4

Yards 1227

Rating: 105.6

pretty impressive if you ask me.

On pace for: 392/552 for 4908 yrds, 32 TD's, 16 INTs

How close does he get to these numbers? What are too high? Low? If he can maintain a 2:1 TD:INT ratio, i'll be ecstatic. With all the talk of Brees making a run for 5,000 yards ( :lmao: ), it would appear Jon has a realistic shot at it. And this is without Megatron last week, who should be back for the WAS game. Schedule is hard to gauge at this point though....

@ WAS

TB

@ CHI

DEN

@ ARI

NYG

GB

@ MIN

DAL

@ SD

KC

@ GB

I think lost games due to injuries resulting from all the sacks he takes each game, will cut into his possible finishing numbers. I believe he took 6 sacks this week, and like 9 or 12 last week. Not good to stay injury free.

No doubt injury will be the issue for Kitna. If he can stay healthy, look out.. if not, just start him when he is healthy.

SACKS in my league are minus 1. He's doing great for me BUT those sacks are killing me...oh and him to...im sure they hurt!!

I'm happy I have him, but I am justr waiting for that 275 yard, 2TD, 3INT, 2 lost fumbles game. It's just a matter of time.

Might be one of, if not the, best QB if you don't count turnovers.

0 penalty for ints

0 penalty for sacks

0 penalty for fumbles

Healthy Kitna =

15 sacks in two weeks. Nobody can continue at that pace.

Injury is THE issue with Kitna. The only games where I'd consider benching him are the TB and DEN games. I don't like his chances to avoid turnovers against the rejuvenated Bucs or the Denver's Champ-Dre Bly backfield.

Another thing to consider is the return of Kevin Jones and the potential help that will provide. An improved running game can only be a positive for Kitna's stats.

The funny thing about owning Kitna, at least in my case, is that although I got him late (early 7th round), Romo went in the mid 7th round. So I'm still a little bitter (but not that bad)

Kitna has been good to my team, but I'm worried about his longevity. My plan is to hope that he makes it through this week healthy (it could happen; Washington's pass rush is nothing special), then pick up O'Sullivan after Detroit's bye in week 6 for security. Anyone with me?

I got Big Ben and Garrard backing him up. Only thing is I cant trade Big Ben to a QB desperate team cuz of my fear of Kitna getting killed. And I dont wanna rely on Garrard if Kitna gets hurt.

I'm in the same situation and I traded Big Ben already. I guess I like to live on the edge.

If Kitna stays heathy who knows? That is a big if.

Again on Sunday Kitna took some huge hits..to be honest I can`t believe Kitna has not been injured as of yet..when Martz runs the 4 WR set Kitna get destroyed..even when the pass in completed.

 I too have Kitna and Romo and have enjoyed the production from both QB's, however as one previous post pointed out Kitna is on paced for an accident waiting to happen- too many sacks.. I'm curious to know if the Passing game will stay as prolific as the first four weeks or will teams Defenses begin to figure out the Lions O and shut things down some.. The return of KJ will help but will this be enough ??? I'm in a league that is penalized for sacks and Int's . Romo every week starter with Kitna as a nice fill in..
