nothing confirmed that I can find. Has anyone else heard anything on this?
The rumors on the Jet messageboards are that Robertson would be involved in a trade for Rogers, while Detroit is interested in possibly working out a separate deal for Vilma.Rogers for Vilma trade? I think that would be a waste of Rogers. He is clearly a 4-3 DT. Think it would be great for Vilma though.
Many of the current 3-4 schemes slant their NT rather than using him head up on the center. Rogers has been used more or less in that role in recent years anyway -- he has only rarely been a 3-technique with Cody and Redding next to him. If he's motivated, he can be as successful drawing double teams as a 3-4 NT and he was a 4-3 "DT".Rogers for Vilma trade? I think that would be a waste of Rogers. He is clearly a 4-3 DT. latest for Rogers is Foxworth and a second rounder. Vilma would be a seperate deal.Bob Henry said:Radio said this morning a possible 3-way trade: Rogers to Denver, Dominique Foxworth to Detroit, the rest unknown.. Vilma to Detroit? Robertson to??? Not a lot of detail here, but that was the blurb mentioned briefly.
CB. actually in DEN i believe he played nickel, of course with Bly and Champ already there.is Foxworth a CB or Safety?

According to an unnamed league source, the Jacksonville Jaguars are the latest team to enter into trade discussions with the Detroit Lions. Jacksonville is reportedly offering to swap defensive tackles, offering three-time Pro Bowler Marcus Stroud in exchange for Shaun Rogers.
February 28, Jacksonville Times-Union: To replace Stroud, the club is in discussions with Detroit to make a trade for defensive tackle Shaun Rogers, according to a league source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because such moves can't officially be transacted until today - the start of the league's new year.
Coming off microfracture surgery on his right ankle in 2006, Stroud played in nine games last season and posted 35 tackles, three sacks and recovered a fumble before he was placed on injured reserve on Dec. 12.
yikes, a Henderson/Rogers front would be massiveHere is something that just came out on MLIVE today:

Sirius NFL Radio during a 2:00 Minute Drill mentioned that Vilma was in Detroit for a physical but they gave no further details.hutchins929 said:nothing confirmed that I can find. Has anyone else heard anything on this?

Let's say that I am skeptical about that.Jene Bramel said:Many of the current 3-4 schemes slant their NT rather than using him head up on the center. I don't believe it. It's not the Dan Snyder Way to trade draft picks for big names who have underproduced.JLC a Redskins Insider, posted rumblings of Vilma to the Saints!
Uh, why would Dan Snyder have anything to do with the Saints?I don't believe it. It's not the Dan Snyder Way to trade draft picks for big names who have underproduced.JLC a Redskins Insider, posted rumblings of Vilma to the Saints!
He would not. He would also have nothing to do with me scanning posts quickly at work and immediately assuming something a Redskins fan said they read on a Redskins board automatically involved the Redskins.I blame the goofy picture of Chris Cooley for subliminally influencing my post!Uh, why would Dan Snyder have anything to do with the Saints?I don't believe it. Tom Rock, of Newsday, reports the New Orleans Saints are close to acquiring New York Jets LB Jonathan Vilma, according to two sources. The Jets will receive a conditional draft pick, likely in the 2009 NFL Draft, based on Vilma's production, according to a league source.
Yeah.. :( It's the Lions!I am really hoping the Lions snag Vilma. Robertson would be a great pickup too...Donnybrook said:Per KFFL:

A conditional 2009 draft pick sounds HORRIBLE to me...Donnybrook said:Per KFFL:
