Jordy Nelson vs. Joe Haden (1 Viewer)

Anyone concerned about this matchup with Haden? Haden has shut down most of the #1 WRs he's faced this year. Here are the numbers he's given up so far:

Mike Wallace: 1 catch for 15 yards (Was Haden on Wallace? Harline had a big game)

Torrey Smith: 7 catches, 85 yards

Greg Jennings: 3 catches for 43 yards

AJ Green: 7 catches for 51 yards

Stevie Johnson: 2 catches for 19 yards

Calvin Johnson: 3 catches for 25 yards

Haden has given up a low yards per catch and no TD catches and has only given up more than 3 catches in 2 games. Obviously, if you don't have other options, you start Nelson, but how concerned are you about the matchup with Haden? If you're starting him, who are you starting him over and if you're benching him, who are you benching him for?

Not even remotely concerned. Calvin wasn't healthy, and Green and Smith weren't shut down so much as slowed somewhat. Wallace, Jennings and Stevie haven't done much against anyone, and are nowhere near Nelson's league.

I think people there is some over thinking going on if anyone is benching nelson this week, just because of Haden. Kinda similar to the people who benched D-Jax because of Revis last week.

With Cobb, and likely Jones out, I wouldn't be surprised if Nelson saw far more targets than usual despite Haden. I can count the number of WR's I'd start over Nelson on one hand.

Agree with this, my concern isn't so much Haden but the Brown's game plan in general. If the Brown's scheme to shut down Nelson then he could have a bad day. Nelson has a low floor but a very high ceiling this week, he is an aggressive play with high risk high reward. I have Nelson this week low end, targets/recpt/yds/tds as 6/3/40/.3 high end 14/10/180/2.4. Even with the low floor risk he is a must start for me having such a high ceiling.

Just traded Nelson for victor Cruz. Nelson will have a very quite day. Going forward teams will most likely double team jordy.
