Josh Gordon - August 1, 2016 (1 Viewer)

Slight semantics....Manziel is living with Gordon.

But it does not change much.   Gordon is an idiot.    Pics with the guy, parties with the guy, and the NFL states they need more time to evaluate the re-instatement, so hey,  Gordon opens his door to Manziel?

Gordon is not very bright
lol  He passed 'not very bright' a long, long time ago.

I guess Justin Blackmon didn't have room at his place.

Directly from the Policy on Substances of Abuse:

Procedures for Reinstatement Following Stage Three Banishment

Any Player who has been banished under Stage Three may apply formally in writing for reinstatement no sooner than 60 days before the one-year anniversary date of the letter so banishing him.

The application should include all pertinent information about the Player’s:

(a) Treatment;

(b) Abstinence from Substances of Abuse throughout the entire period of his banishment;

(c) Involvement with any Substances of Abuse related incidents; and

(d) Arrests and/or convictions for any criminal activity, including Substances of Abuse-related offenses.

Going by the POLICY, if Josh has pissed clean, and has not been arrested or convicted (which, by all accounts, he has complied with), the  MOTHER EFFER SHOULD BE IN THE LEAGUE

From the section I quoted earlier...

After the completion of the one-year banishment period, the Commissioner, in his sole discretion, will determine if and when the Player will be allowed to return to the NFL.

 58 minutes ago, Dr. Octopus said:
Johnny Manziel didn't make enough money to get his own place?
You'd think with his gramps oil money.  With that to fall back on, Johnny couldn't care less about his NFL career.
There was an article written a few years back about how gramps had more or less disowned Johnny's side of the family a long time ago.  Johnny never had that oil money that his name was linked to, and one of the reasons Johnny's family moved away was to take their immediate family out of that circle...

I can't find the article now, but reading that combined with the fact that Johnny was signing autographs in college for money leads me to believe that he never had that silver spoon everyone talks about...

Attorney's are mother ####ers, and these two subjects could be debated endlessly in court... "Oh, you went to a nightclub in Las Vegas?  Was it a dry nightclub?"

Requiem for a dream.

Maybe the mods should merge the Gordon and Manz threads since their destinies are now intertwined.
Difference is, Gordon has actual NFL-level ability. It's a shame that he keeps screwing it up. Manziel isn't really screwing anything up, since he's an awful QB anyway.

True. But really, same old sad sh|t for people who let this happen, everybody has talent to do whatever it is they would do best if not for booze and whatever else they're hooked on. So here the super talented guy falls in with the loser who drags him down, well we've read that script too.

Is this even confirmed?

He said VON MILLER in the interview. I'm not saying it isn't possible, but how did it become Gordon?

Gordon's sample, which was collected in early March, tested positive for marijuana and dilute, according to a source informed of the results of the test. The source added that both the "A" and "B" samples collected were positive for marijuana and dilute. Though the level of marijuana was below the 35 nanograms per milliliter required for a positive test, the diluted sample is considered a positive test.

Dropping him the second they announce he's still suspended.
The NFL is not going to be announcing he is still suspended...it will just stay status quo.

Option A) Silence from NFL and he continues to be suspended.

Option B) They announce his reinstatement.

I think they will leak out something, because they won't want to be inundated with requests.

But I agree, the league doesn't need to make some announcement ASAP, just because fantasy owners think they need to know everything.
