JP Losman to start vs New England (1 Viewer)

Jauron says, "We will continue with JP Losman as our starting quarterback for our game with New England."

Now, JP and the whole team looked awful against Miami, but a wins a win. I'd like to believe they went vanilla in preperation for Sunday night.

IMO, JP gives the Bills the best chance to pull off the monumental upset. As a Lee owner, I hope he's targeted a bit more, but he did spread the ball around more than usual.

I have a feeling this is not a week to "start Lee Evans with Confidence."

I'm not sure. I could see, NE getting up big and Losman chucking one down the field and Evans ending up with a stat line like 3-90-1.I am going to bench, because I have better choices, so who knows?

I could see this as well and it bothers me to bench him but I could also see a big doughnut...

Lee Evans does not have a good history against NE. His last five starts, dating back to 2005 against the Pats:

1/7/0

1/10/0

2/25/0

4/83/0

1/14/0

Whether it's Losman or Edwards, I think this is a good week to look elsewhere for points.

Now thats info i can use...thanks :excited: ...i put a lot of stock in past matchups...pats have his #

I went to the game on Sunday, and had not previously seen Losman play this year, nor Edwards...even on TV.

I must say my first impression of Losman is that he reminds me of Trent Dilfer. No accuracy, no touch, and no confidence.

I'm sure he's shown better...but I had a difficult time seeing starting-QB-material in him.

IIRC, the WR1's haven't done great against NE this year.

Braylon Edwards seems to have been the lone exception, but in many ways he's 1a with KW2.

I'm looking elsewhere this week.

Agreed, nice summary, thanks. :(
Perfect. Confirms my gut feeling to bench Evans this week and roll the dice on the triumphant(?) return of Andre Johnson.

losman's motivated by revenge this week, so he's got a big edge.

look for buffalo to keep it under 30.

I was gonna write something smart like "not a chance", but now Im just hoping for an entertaining game.

I've got a good friend of mine I grew up outside of boston with, and every sunday we get together and watch the pats ----- 52-3 is extremely entertaining.

moreso, because I've got brady and ne def.

The wild thing is that its now a Sunday night game, and those Buffalo fans are gonna be hammered. So, Im hoping theyll be equally loud when the Buffalo is trying to run their O. I cant imagine an NFL crowd being any louder than during that Colts game. Buffalo's gonna seem like kindof a cold library compared to that friggin' place. Should be fun to watch.

Indy has the benefit of a dome, but if you think Buffalo doesn't know to keep quiet for the O, and loud for the D, or that they'll be as quiet as a "cold library" you're on drugs. Simple as that. Buffalo has some of the loudest and best football fans on the planet.

Ask Romo how Buffalo fans are. Buffalo will definitely need a lot of breaks just to keep it close, but they are not going to be intimidated and will expect to win when they take the field. Losman did not put any numbers up vs Miami, but Miami had the Bills gameplanned to perfection and Losman did nothing to lose the game.

Obviously coming from a fan who has never been to the Ralph. Plus, didn't the Colts install extra loudspeakers......

The colts have the huge edge of having a dome and I still bet the Ralph will be louder sunday night.

The tailgating will begin for most of the fans around noon (some even earlier). I cannot wait to attend this game and take in the beauty that is a Buffalo Bills home game.

I believe that the bills played the most vanilla offense possible against Miami because they knew the Patriots would have two full weeks to prepare.

One game means nothing. Imagine watching Peyton Manning for the first time this past weekend. What would be your thoughts about him?

My point is potential. You would see that even with Manning's 6 INT. I didn't see it in Losman. How many games has Losman started?

 I've been to a Monday Night game in Indy...didn't really compare to a big game in Buffalo.

Hey Aaron,I was wondering if you were at the Dallas/Buffalo game eariler this year? I was impressed at the fan support they received during that game and think Romo's off night was due partly to the 12th man on the field, they're fans.

I know of two friends who were there and said it was crazy. Sitting next to each other and could barely hear each other speak. Buffalo fans are notoriously loud, especially when it comes to big games like this.

Not even 2 seasons worth, I believe around 25.

Pretty cool.....makes that 53 yard field goal, I mean those two 53 yard field goals at midnight, on the road, outdoors all the more impressive. :( Sorry Bills fans for the reminder! However, I'm taking the Bills and the points this weekend. I think they're going to play well.

They were pumped up for the Cowboys game. I'm sure they will be this time around too. Another national spotlight game for them after not having big games like this for years. On a 4 game win streak and out to prove that they're better than they were this past weekend. I'm glad we struggled against the Dolphins, hopefully we'll get a better gameplan and be more prepared this weekend.

It has been well noted that the Pats' coaching staff comes up with a 5-point gameplan that is presented to the players on Wednesday. I'm sure one of the points is "Double Evans". The Pats will dare Losman to throw to his other receivers in order to beat them. The Pats will be betting that by taking Evans out of the game, Losman will struggle with finding other receivers on a consistent basis.

Yep. And without Lynch the team is in trouble.

did you think they weren't in trouble w/lynch?
Lynch = No running game whatsoever, forcing us to pass more frequently to get 1st downs which isn't good. I know we aren't going to win, but at least it would've been closer with Lynch there.

was eom a Pats fan during the 80's and early 90's when the tables were turned. It's so easy to root for a winner.......

I sure recall watching kelly to reed all day, with a sprinkle of Thurman on top. Those were some tough years in NE. In the great QB class of 83, your Bills get Kelly, Miami gets Marino, and the Pats get that skirt-wearing Eason. I would have even preferred O'Brien. At least he'd stand in the pocket to deliver the ball instead of turtling up sucking his thumb if a DLineman said "boo".Ahhh, trips down memory lane. Kinda makes this year a bit sweeter having been through the (extremely low) valleys.

We all go through our ups and downs. It makes for a stronger fan. That's why boy wonder on here seems like he just hopped on the wagon, he doesn't know what it feels like to be a fan during the "lows".With Marshawn out now, or seeming to be, I would downgrade the heck out of Lee.
