For this season at least, i mean the guy has not had one easy inning:

In 5.2 innings this season he has allowed 26 baserunners and 12 runs and struck out 2 damn guys

Good things happen to good people and you know the rest....

There is still hatred for Beaning Bernie all those years ago

With Owens on the 15 day DL the closing spot in Florida is up for grabs. So who is going to get it?

Julio and Tankersley blew the game the other night so I would expect Fredi Gonzalez is going to look elsewhere over the next week or so. This leaves Messenger, who has not pitched well over the last two/two and a half weeks, Gregg, who has pitched well all season with the exception of one 4 run outing in which he picked up a save for pitching 3 innings, and Matt Lindstrom, young guy who has pitched well but is usually the first arm out of the pen.

So it looks like Gregg or Messenger should be the next guys to get a shot.

Anyone from Miami reading the papers on this situation?
