What is Julius' contract for next year?

Being here in Dallas, I can almost assure you Julius won't be re-signed.

It would take something unforeseen for it to happen.

Dallas has 2 first round draft picks to consider next year(including the Browns pick for Quinn). McFadden is on their radar, trust me.

Marion Barber will be a restricted free agent. He will be re-signed.

Terence Newman will also be due a new contract.

Don't forget that Romo remains unsigned after this season.

Ken Hamlin was only signed for this season, and may merit re-signing at end-of-season.

It's too early to get into next year's draft, but I feel compelled that the Cowboys will be comfortable drafting a RB in the first two rounds to replace J. Jones. Darren McFadden or not.

A note on the Romo contract situation: The Cowboys have roughly $12 million in cap space right now. If Dallas can get a contract done before the first week of November, they can use some of this year's cap money to help fortify it. I would expect that they will do 1 of 2 things.

Remember that he has 2 concussions so far this year. I don't see long term value in him. I own Jones and I think he runs like a sissy compared to Barber. He can't carry a full load anywhere. He goes down too easy.

Romo will get done soon, so I say option 1 is more likely . Jerry is a smart business man and understands the cap implications. Personally I don't think Dallas considers McFadden even if Cleveland tanks. I'd be happy with a CB and WR in the first round. Give me the WR out of Cal (Forget his name).

I've been eyeing him too. It's Deshawn Jackson. I agree, WR and/or CB makes a great deal of sense.

He'd be a great fit in Green Bay. Unfortunately, Ted Thompson isn't an aggressive GM and he dislikes using free agency to add talent. So I wouldn't expect Jones to wind up with the Packers next season.
