I would especially love to hear Cecil on this but all responses appreciated. I'm trying to determine if this guy will ever put it together. It seems like so long ago that he did anything that I'm having a hard time remembering what made him such an intriguing prospect.

I still think there is hope for Thomas. He was brought in as a project with limited experience, but - as I'm sure you know - has very intriguing measurables. I think the injury last season put a significant pause on his development. He's still kind of a one-trick pony (zing) and is not yet adept in blocking. So, not only would he be regulated to passing downs, but he's also backing up another TE who they brought in for this (Tamme). I doubt he will see much time on the field this season. They seem to have their two TE's in Dressesen and Tamme with Green and Thomas backing those two up; each bringing different skill-sets to the table (Green as a blocker and Thomas as a wr). If he could improve as a blocker and complete football player, a good camp next year could get him an intriguing opportunity next season. Without injury, I expect to see him remain inactive for a lot of this season. Anyone know what the contract status is for Tamme and Dressen?
