Thanks for posting this. At first glance - How in the world did Ronnie Brown ($40) go more than Marvin Harrison ($35) ???!? :loco:

Wow - Peyton for 21% of the cap. I guess that's not outrageous, but I could never bring myself to spend that kind of coin on a QB. Even Peyton.

I like "Hayden's Foxes". Really good depth at RB and WR, paid for by cheap QBs. A gamble worth taking.

QB:

Looks about right. Peyton as keeper isn't crazy value, as I have him at $59 in typical scoring league with your setup.

RBs:

LT2 went about $30 cheaper than he should have, which I think will be typical this year. I agree with the other poster on ~50% of cap.

Lots of the backup RBs went a bit higher than I would want to pay. Having top starters wins leagues. Having top backups doesn't.

WRs:

There are several mid range WRs going for more than I'd expect, but that's not atypical.

TEs:

Lots of the lesser TEs went a bit higher than I would pay. In an 8 team league, TEs 9 and 10 are only scoring 6 points per year less than TEs 7 and 8.

DST:

BAL for $7 is a good deal. NE for 6 is high, but you have the homer factor.

K:

Looks right.

Greyhounds: $67 total on 4 QBs, why? For his sake I hope this league does a lot of trading.

Which team are you, dlos?

The LT2 owner got in good. McNabb/Favre isn't bad at QB. Smith is an acceptable RB2 under the circumstances. Housh/Walker/A Johnson is a nice trio to have at receiver. And he even got the Baltimore defense.

The LJ for $9 totally frittered away his advantage with guys like Ronnie Brown at $40.

What would have LT2 cost if the guy who had him kept him? Curious if a tactical error was made by that dude.

LT would have been $116

This league is in love with runningbacks. They always seem to be overvalued.
$105 for LT in a $275 league is a joke. That's beer money. Easily should be half the cap.

I don't have all your exact scoring, but here's my thoughts.Sith Lords Pick Pos Player Team Amt Paid4.04 QB3 Tom Brady NE/10 27 About $5 high. It nice to have players you get to see, so this is fine.1.05 RB4 Brian Westbrook Phi/5 60 About $15 high. If Westy scores 260 points, thats only 40 points per year more than someone like Benson who only cost $23, and I'd have $35 to fill the 40 point gap. I'd rather have FWP for $50, as I have Westy and FWP with similar projections in ppr league.14.04 RB23 Jerious Norwood Atl/8 814.06 RB24 Cadillac Williams TB/10 1615.02 RB27 Marion Barber III Dal/8 918.05 RB65 Lorenzo Booker Mia/9 1There are a bunch of RBs in this league around a similar ppy (+/- 10 ppy): Ahman Green for $8, Jamal Lewis for $7, Fred Taylor for $6, JuJones for $4. Caddy for $16 is a bit expensive vs. these other options.4.05 WR1 Torry Holt StL/9 50 About $10 more than I'd pay. Unless you have Holt seriously outscoring Harrison and Wayne, this is probably too much.7.01 WR5 Larry Fitzgerald Ari/8 40 About $15 more. Lee Evans for $25 probably scores within 10 ppy as Fitz.10.07 WR14 Lee Evans Buf/6 2515.07 WR20 Jerricho Cotchery NYJ/10 916.01 WR36 Santonio Holmes Pit/6 717.08 WR56 Arnaz Battle SF/6 112.04 TE2 Todd Heap Bal/8 99.04 TE3 Jeremy Shockey NYG/9 6Nice trade bait, but I'd rather have the extra $6 and only have one of them.9.05 PK5 Stephen Gostkowski NE/10 17.05 DEF3 Miami Mia/9 3So the team could have been:FWP (instead of Westy, +$10)Marvin/Wayne (instead of Holt, + $15)Fred Taylor or Jamal Lewis (instead of Caddy, +$10)Lee Evans type WR (instead of Fitz, +$10)Only one TE saves $6.With the $50 saved from "downgrading" those players, you could have an RB#2 like SA or THenry ($45).Just my thoughts. Take/Leave as you see fit.

Yup, in our league, he will go for 55% to 62.5%...we have some crazy Mfers in our league. The record was set a few years back when Marshall Faulk was at his peak, and he went for 62.5% of someone's cap!

Me too. The QB's are suspect but should be OK with the rest of the team. If this league you can start 3 WR's then he will be MONEY...I also like Adlib Nemesis....

I agree. Adlib Nemesis looks like the team to beat. Good keeper in Addai gives an excellent RB#1a, RB#1b punch. Three solid WRs. Good QBBC. Top TE. A bit light on depth, but the waiver wire always helps with that.Hayden's Foxes is a good team, and has a little more depth but less starting punch.

If they can start 3 WR's or 3 WR's and a flex the Foxes is it. If it's 2 RB's and 2 WR's and that's it then Adlib has it...

The keeper values are way skewed.

In my league the value of the player = 20% of their previous season's fantasy point production. That way their value is based on performance and not what was paid for them in the past.

$42 for Reggie Bush and $9 for Larry Johnson seems broken.

A couple of people in our league proposed that we did it this way and I said no. This is exactly why.

I like the 20% thing. We have a $200 cap and can keep 1 player for an extra flat $5. Nobody really minds this because we can only keep a player for 1 year. This way the owner who drafted LJ for $3 2 years ago got rewarded by getting him for $8 last year but has to release him back into the pool this year so we can all get a shot. Otherwise, LJ would be on his team for 6 or 7 years. For unlimited time limit on keepers, your method is great.

yeah, unlimited keepers at a fixed dollar amount is horrible. We scrapped that idea and have a 3 year contract (max) -- 3 year contracts increase 10% each year. The total cap goes up 10% each year as well. 2 year contracts increase 15% for the 2nd year. Current cap is $293

LT2 went for $175. Keep in mind that some guys are kept at low values (e.g. I have Larry Johnson for $18 in his final year of a 3 year deal -- paid $14 for him when he was backing up Priest)

I paid $146 for SJax. Alexander went for $91.

The strategy pays off when a guy gets a young guy early in his career, or as a flyer in the pre-season and/or early season (i.e. Gore went for $4 3 years ago)

Love auctions.

My wife has had LT2 every year of his career. We have a $200 cap and this year it costs her $78 to keep him.

That's still a bargain based on the cap, but is more in tune with how much he is worth from where I stand.

We've been using the 20% system for several years and feel it is the fairest way to value the keepers. The only question we've had is when someone gets injured and only costs $1 the following year because he didn't have any points. We decided that if your willing to take up a roster spot for an entire season to be able to keep them the following year than you've put in a substantial investement already and that the $1 price tag is your reward for sticking with the guy.

We have a funny keeper system. You can keep a guy for 2 years, each year his cap goes up 10%. On the third year he goes bak into the pool but you get a chance to meet his new value and get him for that. Kinda like Restricted free agents, but you must choose your keeper before the auction starts. Next year, if he chooses LJ as his keeper, he get LJ for what the auction brought him up to, but that is his only keeper from his team.
