Justin Fargas (1 Viewer)

I don't see a thread on Justin Fargas.

Though he is one of the best in the NFL when looking at injuries per season, he is also pretty talented running the football.

A few of his games have been pretty eye opening this season.

I was shocked to learn the Raiders lead the conference in rushing. How can this be?

Anyway-Lamont Jordan isn't doing much and is acting like a jerk...and Fargas is playing with passion.

Any chance this at least becomes a RBBC situation?

Is it one already?

Is he a better bench stash than, let's say a recent flavor like Noah Herron?

Redraft:

He's on my radar, but Oakland is so bad that I think he'd need to get the starting job before he'd be on my roster. If anything I think he's mainly going to further deflate Lamont's value than have a lot of value himself.

I know the coaches have said he's going to continue to see carries. Now, that doesn't tell you much (2, 7, 15?). He's certainly one of the few Oakland players that doesn't look like he's mailing it in. God only knows with that coaching staff/front office, but I think it's a RBBC to some degree.

Dynasty:

Worth a shot if you have deep rosters.

I think you misunderstood. They lead the conerence in nothing. Easy mistake. They sound similar if you're drunk.

The Raiders 5.1 yards/carry is best in the NFL except for the Vick-led Falcons. And that's with no threat of a passing game.

I picked him up this morning in a 12 team, 18 player league. Fargas is averaging 9.0 per pop (153 on 17 carries), he got nine touches last week and Shell says he's going to get a bigger look as a result. So he might be a bye week option in deep leagues, and he obviously becomes startable if Jordan goes down.

Not for me, to each his own but, he's already had his shot IMO. Is he in his 4th year? 3rd? At this point, he's gotta have a sweet game for me to grab him again

Maybe I didn't emphasize the 'deep' enough. I think he's got some talent--the problem has been his health. He certainly looks pretty cecent right now, and he's still quite young, esp. since he doensn't have much wear and tear. It's possible he's finally healthy and finally playing up to his potential. Some dynasty leagues have like 60 roster spots and, since good RBs are hard to come by, I might stash him in a league like that.

i drafted him as a rookie years ago in my 40 man roster idp dynasty, and have not to this day dropped him :bag: almost did a few weeks ago, but my waiver move was nullified bc i was over the acquisition limit for the week. still on my team

I drafted him as a rookie in a keeper leage and gave up him lastyear. With that speed you think he would have done something by now.

That sure comes in handy when they're trying to run out the clock to stop the slaughter at the end of games.

I've liked him as a dynasty buy low for quite some time. He lacks great instincts and may not ever be a reliable starter in the NFL, but he has been fairly productive when given opportunities and he has elite physical skills. He's definitely worth a roster spot in a dynasty league.
