What do you expect here? Seems like a great matchup. News out of Oakland is that Fargas will start the remainder of the season until further notice. What caliber of player do you start him over.

Personally, I am starting him over K. Jones this week. I like KJ, but Fargas's matchup vs the Bears is too enticing to pass up.

Anyone else rolling with Fargas while he's healthy?

Starting him over KJ seems ballsy to me. I am starting him over Benson and Grant, although Benson vs Oakland is a nice matchup as well. Definitely looks like he has a firm hold as the featured guy, but I cannot make myself feel 100% comfortable looking at him in my starting lineup.

Is it just me or in the past, whenever Fargas has been given the starting nod (vs. coming off the bench and taking a defense by "surprise") he's always, always disappointed? I wouldn't get carried away with him, personally. When he gets the majority of the STARTER'S carries (which was mostly in 2006) he's been less than impressive:

Yes, he had the huge game this year against a horrible, reeling Zach Thomas-less Miami rush D and a good game last week, but it just seems that when defenses have a week to prepare for him, he gets stuffed. I:n other words, I think you'd be crazy to bench KJones for a wildcard like Fargas.

Not always. Last week he did a fine job. He impressed Kiffin as Fargas ran hard and solidified his starting status with his performance. He is a decent RB2 given the number of touches he is expected to receive.

History is with you on this, but using 2006 stats from the Raiders is not totally fair. They had quite possibly the worst OL I have ever seen, a B&B owner as an OC, and a HC who was exposed as being horrendous.

B&B owner....all true. 2006 was a wash across the board for OAK, but I'm just speaking as someone who's drunk the Fargas Kool-Aid before and been burned. Want to spare others that pain, but yes, this is a better system/coaching staff who might use him right for a change and make him more effective.

Just seems to me the Fargas has some breakout potential. I think he's good for 80+ yds and possibly a TD. But, has the potential to go for 150+ and a td or two. Don't see that with KJ.

Fargas can be tackled by a single blade of grass. I would not expect much vs the Bears.

He looked ok, imo. The Bears loaded up again the run and played good defense.

He had 3 or 4 runs of 10 yds and outside of that it was a whole lot of Fargas for 1, Fargas for 2, Fargas for -1, etc.....
