I saw the clip from his interview on Total Access on Monday, LT looked pissed, and I turned and said to my brother that San Diego is going to destroy KC on Sunday night. LT doesn't get mad often, and i'm sure he's the type of leader on this team that when he does, the guys in the locker room get that much more intense. Couple that with two teams going in opposite direction, I think we'll have a 42-17 scoreline on Sunday night here.

so LT is upset now about an insult that happened two months ago??? OK, just checkiing. This sounds like some manufactured motivational anger. Funny that he's actually trying to sell a story this stale. LT better save the righteous indignation for game day or else he's gonna be worn out come Sunday.

He was insulted at how KC reacted and what they said. It happened awhile ago but he didn't forget and this was the next chance that they had to respond. Motivational, sure but LT plays with a lot of pride and probably didn't appreciate being insulted.
So if another owner in your league beat you two months ago and then ridiculed your team management skills, you're telling me you wouldn't remember that heading into a rematch this week?

For some perspective, the comments were made immediatley after SD lost in KC on Oct. 22. The comments were made by Chiefs rookie defensive end Tamba Hali. Hali said,
Those words didn't sit well with the Chargers and that newspaper clipping has been posted in the team's weightroom ever since. Whatever motivation you need to get up for a divisional game I would say use it. LT doesn't get mad very often so I would hate to see what the guy is capable of doing with some extra motivation after being insulted. I am sure LT will be one of those that brings these comments up in the pregame speech. If I were Trent Green I would not be getting a lot of sleep this week just knowing what Shawne Merriman did to Priest Holmes last year when the Chiefs came to SD.

LT doesn't strike me as a guy that is necessarily going to play "harder" just because he's mad. Heck, he doesn't even look like he gets mad. Dude is already unreal.

What's ironic is that Phil Simms while announcing the SD-Denver game remarked how big and physical the Chargers were and how they were pushing the Bronco's all over the field. This should be an interesting game. Not that the Chargers needed any additional motivation or needed to raise their game any higher than it's been over the last 6-7 weeks. KC better hope that LJ has a HUGE game.

Or maybe it's just a small motivational ploy by a very, very quiet leader on the team. This is a classic let-down game. Defeated your division rival by 28 last week to lock up the divison title three weeks before the end of the year. A .500 KC team rolls into your stadium that has very little hope at making the wild-card and has been playing pretty poor. It would be pretty easy to look past this Chief team. I like Hali and think he's going to be a great player but I'd rather be a finesse 11-2 than a physical 7-6 any day. SD shouldn't forget that on any given sunday an inferior team can beat a better team.

It's a homefield division game against a team that got the better of them earlier in the season. It doesn't market itself well as a letdown game. Maybe next week at the Seahawks, but given the way the KC defense plays on the road I think it has the making of a slaughter more than a letdown game.LT is protective of his blockers and the comments were directed at them.
