KC DEF owners...what are you doing for BYE and (2) DEN matchups? (1 Viewer)

got kc, buf, and detroit as options for the champ game

I picked up detroit mainly to block anybody else. dont think I would play buf vs miami since mia is playing some good ball. probably still play kc over detroit but its close. if detroit lights up the ravens tonight it may change my mind but for now I am sticking with KC.

the detroit vs NYG matchup is very tempting however...eli tossing picks and no cruz....

DET was still showing as a FA in my league, since they play tonight (teams don't go to Waivers until they start THEIR game).

Grabbed them as a hedge to KC vs. IND...not sure who'll I'll start. Still pretty shocked I made the finals.

So what say you fellow chiefs D owners...? I don't foresee andrew luck having 5 INT's this week.... Colts have not given opposing D's many fantasy points lately.... Dodds has Chargers D ranked very high (ranked higher than chiefs, home vs. Oakland).... Lions (home vs. NYG) seem like a trendy play too...

the lack of sacks recently is a concern too... (and no i dont count sacking RG3 6 times as having any value... RG3 clearly had no idea what was going on this season)

ESPN: Three players were listed as limited participants: wide receiver Dexter McCluster (ankle), linebacker Justin Houston (elbow) and left tackle Branden Albert (knee). None of the three played against the Raiders. Albert's participation was limited to working on the scout team.

So, you're saying there's a chance?

Have KC & CIN def, might swap to CIN vs MIN.

I have SD. At home with everything on the line vs a terrible raiders team. Debating to go with them and hope they can duplicate their denver performance.

I have the Lions and Browns. As of now, I guess sticking with KC, but am awfully tempted by the Lions with the Giants having every starter out.

Week 16 vs. Indianapolis

Indianapolis has given up the 4th fewest fantasy points to Team Defenses this season.

yeah, i could see kc d throwing up a bagel of sorts. especially with how fantastic they've been all season long. thats hot it works. this is a matchup many should not be playing them in but they will because of this dance with who brung ya stuff. or they just don't have the balls to go with their gut. they would rather lose with KC doing nothing than possibly be ridiculed. just like all the crappy coaches who play not to lose. same mentality.

hope i'm wrong but if i had better options like detroit i would be going for it.

So unpack this a little.

Take away the big game where they did give up big points - home vs the Rams. [Edited].

I'm not sure they've given up double digit points to a DST this year. They played very well against Seattle, the 9ers.

This team is a little different since Wayne's been gone though.

The Lions seem like a great matchup, I agree. But you're really going to plug in say TEN, or San Diego over the no. 1 FF DST playing at home???

The Rams game was in Indy.

They only scored 9 pts at San Diego. AZ crushed them at home 40-11 w a INT TD.

SF was a complete disaster offensively and defensively when they play Indy, I would not count that game at all.

Other than that they have played TEN and HOU twice and they scored well on CIN.

KC is playing for home field advantage w DEN playing at the same time. They aren't going to let Luck throw for days if they get a lead.

I'm torn about whether to keep KC in or roll with the Rams; I'm worried about a few trends with KC DEF. They gave up a ton of points last week, and I doubt Luck will toss that many INTs. Also, their sack numbers have been anemic in the last few weeks (0 sacks in 4 of the last six games).

I have KC and nothing else left on the wire

Only

Chargers vs OAK

Bucs @ STL

A lot of people are ranking the Chargers/Lions ahead of KC....i'm still going with KC

For the last few weeks I have bench KC only to start the "Sexy pick of the week"

THe last 4 weeks:

Titans vs IND = -1pt

Jets @ BUF = -2pts

Patriots = -4pts

Last week: PHI @ MIN = -1pt

Aint nobody got time foe dat

Love the chiefs D, they got me to the dance but it looks like I'll need to leave with another's date. Going with the lions vs Giants in the championship.

lol I was just coming into post that if Houston plays, I'm dancing with the one that brought me over DET who I have a feeling is going to leave me with blue balls.

Looks like the Chiefs will be close to 100% back on Defense

Chiefs OLB Justin Houston (elbow) is trending toward a Week 16 return.

"He’s practicing and he’s in a lot of the drills and has worked with the first group," were the words of DC Bob Sutton after Houston got in his second straight limited practice Thursday. "The thing I really appreciate about Justin is he’s practicing like he’s trying to play. Hopefully we can get him in." Even if Houston ultimately sits out against the Colts, he should be ready to go for a Week 17 playoff tune up.

The Chiefs expect Dexter McCluster (ankle) to return for Week 16.

McCluster is over his infection, which was not MRSA. Although McCluster is third on the Chiefs in catches, his main impact is on special teams. He shouldn't be in fantasy lineups for championship week.

I guess but my god the Lions are playing the Giants at home. The Gmen already packed it in and the Lions are pissed of the outcome of last week.

I understand. On the otherhand, the Lions don't seem to be a big-play defense and it's hard to trust the Lions because they're, you know, the Lions. :)

Lions/Schwartz always find a way to screw things up.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid conceded Friday it would be "a stretch" for Justin Houston (elbow) to play in Week 16.

Houston's recovery is progressing slower than expected, but the Chiefs can afford to keep him shelved as long as they're winning football games. Kansas City remains a very difficult Week 16 matchup for Indianapolis' passing attack.

But I think that we can all agree that they will most likely win this week in order to keep everyone's hopes alive and then lose next week when Suh dropkicks one of his own teammates, turning a potentital GW Akers 40-yd field goal into a 55-yd miss.

I'm rolling with DET instead of KC.... all points are based on my league scoring:

NYG have allowed an average of 13.71 ppg on away games, and the Lions have accumulated 12.71 ppg for home games. The Chiefs have accumulated 13.42 ppg for home games, but the Colts have surrendered only 5.78 ppg regardless of where they play. Their worst performance of the year came at home vs STL and their worst away game came against ARI... but other than those two games they haven't surrendered double digit scored at all.

So yeah, I'm rolling with DET due to their respective matchups.

Just a thought is that these 2 teams are 99% likely to meet in the first round of te playoffs so don't expect much exciting. Football out of either team (no fancy blitz packages) or no fancy play calling I think KC will be a safe 8 points maye 10 but if you need giant upside I would go with another d although KC had presented a lot of giant upside this year anyways. I will still be playing them!
