Back to the dumping topic or the draft in general,,,what do you think KC goes after in the first round and later,,,OL, CB, DT or even a return guy like WR/KR Ted Ginn Jr or CB/KR Darrelle Revis if they fall that far?

:lmao: at how this thread has unraveled. The extreme Herminator posts and the exaggerrated decline of a team that simply is not that bad. Reminds me a lot of last year when the same type of threads existed calling for the end of the Kansas City Chiefs. Touche. I am a Cowboys fan and feel right at home in this thread. Seems a lot of envious folks love to hate the Chiefs just like my Pokes. Just remember that envy is one of the 7 deadly sins. :lmao:
You forgot the 8th deadly sin and something both your teams have in common...not winning playoff games.
Yet both are routinely lauded as two of the best organizations in the NFL. Only one team wins teh SB every year. I will take my 9-7, 10-6 90% of the time and roll the dice in the postseason, over only being competitive 40% of the time and getting to a SB.
I think your opinion might change if your team ever does win a SB. It's easy to think this when you have never seen the other side.
Yup.

Chiefs fan here, but wasn't really active on these boards til mid-season this year. So I missed all this nonsense, and I'm not gonna read multiple pages of it either.

I'm glad we traded Trent and Dante, and I wish we had traded LJ. I like the direction this roster is moving, but there's a long way to go. The O-Line is just garbage. We wasted half the season on Huard, and still don't really know what we have in Brodie. The defense is now tanking late in the year, after showing much improvement earlier in the season.

The fans are starting to disappear on gameday, which hasn't happened in KC for a long time. Will Carl Peterson and Herm Edwards be shown the door? I doubt it, as this strip down and rebuild was expected by most of us (wacked out Homer Simpson, er Kevin Ashcroft types aside) always felt this season was and should be anyway.

What pisses most Chiefs fans off is the Herm media drama, and the continued condescension from the KC front office, specifically King Carl Peterson. I'd bet 90% of us Chiefs fans knew our season, as a whole, would be something like this, but you spent 90% of your energies over the season trying to prove that we could still win the division, until just the last couple weeks. And now you come out and tell me that's life, to get over it? You have no idea how apathetic I've been all season on Sunday watching these Chiefs. I've not been upset over a loss all year, and guys/gals I'm tellen ya, that really says somethin if you knew me and my wife.

I have 2 hopes left for this season, and 2 only.

1 - Don't win another game. Get us the best possible draft slot for April.

2 - Clark Hunt is as offended by the condescending attitude of Carl Peterson and Herm Edwards as we are, and he ####cans these clowns so we can TRULY start over.

#1 seems a good bet. #2 I don't know, as I said, this rebuilding year was expected all along, and the Hunt family may have been mentally and financially prepared for all this mess anyway. But yet I continue to hope, as any true fan should, beyond all rhyme and reason, that my teams ownership can see the big picture, and find us some front office and coaching leadership that can truly rebuild this franchise. Carl, and now come last couple years Herm, you are not the solution, and we've all known it for a long time.

Merry Christmas to all, and I hope your teams are doin better than mine. And long live Fantasy Football, cause that's all I got left this year!!

Both lines are terrible.Their WR situation is dire.Their corners are ancient and are going on reputation.Their LBs are average at best. They have no depth at RBThey have Herm Edwards as head coach. At least they have a couple good young safeties. :X
LOL, please elaborate. They have one of the best DE duo is the NFL.They may now have one of the best LB units in the NFL.They have the best TE in the NFLThey have good veteran CBs who are battle-tested.They have tow good young Safeties who will only get better. They have a potential starting QB whose passer rating was on par with Peyton Manning's last season.
Point and counterpoint.

This thread has been bookmarked and I will be holding people accountable for their 4-12 type predictions.

i was searching for "notice".,...i thought he put us on notice, but he really held us accountable.

i think you got to rank the afc west in the following order:1. san diego2. denver3. oakland4. chiefschiefs will have a top 10 pick in the 2008 draft.
:loco: Ashcraft = wtfpwn3dI hope I am no longer on notice.
Congrats bagger, you pwn3d the biggest dip#### on these boards that i've seen. udamanTop 10 pick is the best thing to happen to this franchise in 4 years.

...it is very possible, for reasons previously outlined in this thread, that the 2007 KC Chiefs may be the worst KC team in recent memory. Here's how I see this: the KC team of recent memory has been known for offensive dominance and defensive ineptitude. Things have obviously changed - the 2007 Chiefs are likely to be strong defensively and weak offensively. The KC optimists are looking to the allegedly improved defense, and the detractors are focusing on a depleted offense. So the question is: how good will be the defense, and how bad will be the offense? I say slightly above mediocre and poor, respectively.

Ashcraft is one of the best posters on the board, just a bit of a blind homer. His "They have a potential starting QB whose passer rating was on par with Peyton Manning's last season." is hard to get over but at least he does give solid points to back up his opinion. Most of his other points were fair. Seems like every KC fan has been in denial about that OL for awhile now.... and even if KC signs another OLman MIA doesn't want anymore it does NOT automatically mean it's an improvement on what they've got now. If Peterson doesn't improve that OL next season I would think there will be some people asking questions with regard to the job he's doing. How much $ are they on the hook for if LJ's foot problem lingers? He's put the franchise in the position it needs a major upgrade in both OT's, QB, at least depth at RB with the LJ situation and you'd think they'd want to invest in some young CB''s now to take over in the near future. They've got a very big shopping list for next season.

This is out of hand....the asinine irrational people in this thread are doing nothing but stirring the pot because, hey it's Kansas City, not an east coast fan base that will stand up for itself.Over the last 18 seasons, KC has had ONE season below 7-9, they are one of the top 5 winningest franchises, and you would think they were one of the five worst with all the stones being thrown at this team every season by people who post lies.
:goodposting: Seriously, :lmao:
Still, seriously, :lmao:
