Just curious what everyone's opinions are of this game in St. Louis' dome.

Many fantasy players in this one (I have 4/8 guys in one league playing in this game).

For the Rams: Bulger, Holt, Bruce, SJax, & Wilkins

For the Cheifs: LJ, Huard, Gonzo, Kennison, & Tynes

Not sure if I voted correctly but the best I saw was under 20 each.

KC's strength on D is pass defense and their CBs canget physical with the Ram recievers. Jackson isn't doesn't seem likely to pop of big runs, so I don't expect any quick Ram offensive scores vs KC's cover 2. Also, Bulger is doing great this year at protecting the ball and not turning it over so.

KC had great success running LJ nearly 40 times last week and I don't see Herm wanting to get too far away from that. The Rams' DEs are way too good at pass rushing for KC to want to air it out, so again I see a ground attack in the cards for KC. Those pass rushers will also force KC to leave Gonzales in to pass block or chip them at the line, so that'll slow him from being dominant in the passing game.

I see a tad more conservative gameplan by both coaching staffs, which will probably lead to less turnovers and a lower scoring game.

Prediction:

STL 20

KC 17

38-17, KC over St Louis.

Larry Johnson leads all fantasy scoring with 160 yards and three TDs.

Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce, one TD each. Steven Jackson racks up some yardage but is shut out of the end zone.

I say shootout, with an old RB duel...

Kansas City at St. Louis

This is an old fashion RB duel. Johnson. Jackson. Both replacing legends...both are more power than flash...and both are racking up the yards. I wouldn't be shocked to see these 2 combine for 300 yards in this game....but they won't decide the game...

Nah, that will be the Chiefs D vs Bulger. See here's what last week's game against the Hawks proved to me about the Chiefs...their Pass D is not good...and Herm Edwards sucks at teaching teams how to win. His teams don't play smart, cause he doesn't coach smart. And the end of the Hawks game was a perfect example. The punter should of gotten down, instead of trying to weakly throw the ball, and fumbling it away...and Jared Allen should of gotten down when he intercepted the ball. They are simple plays, but those types of failures are windows into the weakness of the coaching staff...think about...would you ever see the Pats make mental mistakes like that?

Bulger's arm proves to be too much for the Chiefs...even with an amazing showing by both backs...and Herm Edwards takes his hands off his throat long enough to toss a clipboard.

The rest of my Week 9 Predictions

Ironically, KC has only played there once in the regular season since the Rams moved to STL. It was in 1997, and KC won 28-20. Whats funnier to me is that only 4 guys remain on the 2 rosters from that game (Gonzo, Shields, Bruce and Wilkins)

Vegas has this as a shootout, and that is what I see as well. The line is Rams laying 2.5, so Vegas sees a slight edge to KC on a neutral field. I see it being a FG-type game as well, KC winning 28-24.

I think Bulger, LJ, Holt and Gonzo all have big days, with KC getting a couple crucial turnovers.

As a KC guy, I know that this game is HUGE. 3 of the next 4 weeks are vs. OAK, @ MIA, @ CLE. If we sit 5-3 after Sunday, it will validate KC as a major contender I think.

It's tough to gauge how the Chiefs will be able to play in this game.

They played pretty good in Denver (tough place to play) and came away 3-point losers in OT. They played pretty mediocre for most of the game in Arizona and came away with a 3-point win. They played terrible in Pittsburgh and lost badly.

One thing's for sure: the offense is a lot better now than it was in any of those games. The line is playing the best it has all season (which still isn't great but what can you do), Huard is firing on all cylinders, Johnson is a beast and finally the Chiefs are getting Gonzalez and Kennison involved in the passing game.

Question, really, is whether the Chiefs can limit St. Louis' production on offense. I like their chances against Steven Jackson although I wouldn't bet on them shutting him down. Against Marc Bulger and those receivers it might be a different story. We'll see.

Prediction: St. Louis 27 - Kansas City 23

Considering what LT2 did to the Rams last week - and what various good and not-so-good RBs have done over the course of the year - I'd look for LJ to put up huge numbers. Also, the Rams - whether they're playing Lovie's cover2, Marmie's passive read-and-react scheme, or Haslett's attacking style - have demonstrated over the last 5 years that they can't cover the middle of the field. I'd expect a big day from Gonzalez as well. The Chiefs will score and, IMHO, score a lot.

Although they limited SEA last week to around 250 yards total offense, the Hawks were w/o SA and Hass. The Rams s/b able to move at will. Converting RZ opps into TDs will be a key, but STL is under 50% for the year.I'd take the over and the Chiefs...

The Chiefs usually own STL in the regular season, I see this game no different except that it is being played at the Dome.I expect LJ to go wild and for the Chiefs to jump out to a big lead (10-21 points) fairly early and then watch the Rams claw their way back into with Bulger and the passing game putting up BIG points in the 2nd half. In the end, I think KCs defense will stop them and might even score a TD to make the game look lopsided. I expect something like 38-24 with a chance to be closer or much uglier.

I don't see how this game will not be a shootout. Larry Johnson, Huard, Gonzalez, Kennison vs the fairly soft rams d. Bulger, Jackson, Holt, and Bruce vs a solid but not spectacular chiefs d. The rams did fine fantasy wise vs the chargers, so I expect almost everyone in this game will put up good games.
