So the Pats didn't win the SuperBowl and it was a huge, huge disappointment. But they gave us another great year of excitement and I, for one, am grateful that we get to watch this team do great things week in and week out.

Brady and Moss both broke records in thrilling fashion. The team went undefeated during the reg. season while coming back from some tough spots. We got to watch Moss put on a clinic for much of the year. Who would have thought we'd be enjoying a Brady to Moss connection a couple of years ago?

So while they came up short I feel we definitely got another great season from these guys. I think that this loss will only make next year that much more exciting.

While they didn't win either season, I think both of the last two years have been great. They've won 3 SB's in the last 7 years, lost a fourth, and barely made making it to a fifth. Winning would be better, but there's not a whole lot to dislike about the team, if you're a Pats fan. Every year they're one of the best teams in the league.

They were the best team in football this year.

2001 Pats were not the best team in football that season

I'm just from the school of thought that the team playin g best at the end wins the SB. In 2001, the Pats did that. They didn't this year. On paper, on big play capability, this team was light years better. But, making the plays when it mattered? 2001 wins out. You think Ty Law lets that game ending INT go through his fingers? I think not. Both great teams, just one got it done when it mattered, and one didn't. Take solace. They have a chance to get to 18-0 again next year. They've already got the -0, they just got to work on the 18.

Well Patriot fans should be excited that they still will have the Dolphins and Jets twice each next year. That will provide much opportunity to win 45 plus to zip and get all their fans excited. We all know how much those games really mean. Weren't the Patriots really 28 and 0 heading into the Super Bowl? I thought they got two wins for beating teams by a large score.

... just to go 18-1 again???

I'd be damn proud if my 'Niners were playing like the Patriots.

You guys had lots to be proud about, and I'm sure it was a lot of fun watching your boys go on the rampage like that.

I have to admit that I'm lucky as a Patriots fan to be watching this team right now because they could've easily become another mid-level franchise toiling at 7-9/8-8 year after year.

This is probably what it felt like to be a fan of the late 80's/early 90's 49ers and early 90's Bills/Cowboys knowing that your team would always at least be in the playoff hunt year after year.
