Basic 12 team league where EVERY TEAM must keep 5 players at the cost of their round last year. We can keep them every year at that cost.

Its basic H2H C,1,2,3,SS,OF,OF,OF,DH 7 PITCHERS ANY KIND - and 6 bench

pick 4 overall

Keeper Options:

Longoria - 1st - leaning yes as I wont get anyone good with 60 players kept

Cliff Lee 2nd

Prince Fielder 3rd - YES

MCcann - 4th

Jared Weaver 5th - YES

Brandon Phillips 6th

carlos lee - 11

craig kimbrel - 13th - YES

Nathan 14

Dee Gordan 16

Worley 16

Mike Minor 20

Moustakas - 22

So assuming in my opinion, Longo 1, Fielder 3rd, Weaver 5th, Kimbrel 13th

Who would be your 5th guy?

Any chance of you landing Darvish with your 1st rounder if you don't keep Longo? Who else may be available if you don't keep Longo? What pick would it be? I think I'd keep Lee instead of Longo (this way you have a 1st round pick). I'd strongly consider Minor, Moustakas or McCann for the 5th keeper.......You've got to give us an idea of who you may be able to get with that 1st rounder?

If assume he'd be available in the first. I believe everyone will keep their first. I figure of the 60 kept top 40 gone and then 20 value plays.

I pick 4th in round 1

And snakes back in second.

Could risk throwing longo back and just re pick him fourth if everyone keeps a first...

If everyone keeps their first rounder then you may want to keep your first rounder too?? Then you'll have essentially the 4th pick or better in the second? It all depends on how you want to build your team. I personally like loading up on pitching in head to head leagues as I like to always have many double start options. I would keep:

Lee

Prince

Weaver

Minor

Moustakas

I would then target the best starting P with your first round pick (Possibly Darvish)....

Even in a shallow league, I'd rather throw back Longoria and keep Moustakas for the rounds they're kept in.How many people do you think are going to be out their early round picks? If you think alot of people will be holding on to early round keepers, I'd be more inclined to not keep Longoria.

In a 12-team league with no CI, Moose isn't a starter. Longoria, Prince, Kimbrel and Weaver are definites. Flip a coin between Cliff Lee and McCann for the last. Even Phillips wouldn't be a bad choice. I'd probably keep McCann just so you can have a 2nd round pick.

I think Moustakas is a potential starter, even in a league this shallow. 3b is a mess right now. And while you win with studs in a shallow league, my only objection to Longoria is the 1st round price tag, especially with him having the 4th overall pick. Whether I threw back Longoria would essentially be a question of how I project the other keepers and whether the guys with picks 1-3 would be using them to keep someone.And I dont think I'd ever keep a closer in this league. Even one as good as Kimbrel. As for keeping Lee or even Weaver, that would largely depend on if there is a starts/innings/transaction limit.

Could be daily transactions, where a 100K closer is gold.At 3B, you have:BautistaLongoriaWrightR ZimBeltreA-RodPandaLawrieAramisThat's 9, and if you're starting 12 then you've got any 3 of Youk, Reynolds, Freese, Moose Tacos, Prado, Ryan Roberts. I don't put Moose in the top 3 of that group, but I guess I can see him as top 5, making him a reasonable 12th starter/bench stash guy.

If you believe everyone will keep their first, then shouldnt you definitely toss Longoria back and just draft him with your first round pick?

Well pick 1 will be Votto, 2 will be Pujols, 3 will be Hanley

So at 4 I can keep Longo or risk it to get another keeper.

Is drafting Han-Ram if he isnt kept worth the risk of losing Longo?
