10 team, 3 keeper league may have to replace 2 owners this year. I would appreciate any feed back on how you deal with replacements. My current view is to allow the existing owners first crack at the orphaned teams based on senority in the league. Do a coin flip if 2 or more owners entered the league in same year. FNG,s can claim a team on first come first serve basis.

Is there a better way to handle this?

I am having to replace 2 owners in one of my dynasty leagues. I am going to let the first replacement owner pick which team he wants.

Yes - first have all owners pay a year in advance. Second old owners keep their teams, while new owners either get the teams available on FCFS basis or if you get both at the same time, have a dice roll or draw.

First, old owners keep their old teams.

Second, two ways I have done it in the past.

1.) First come first serve. Basically first new guy to committ, pay, and select team gets the team. I don't necessary like this method as it can cause some problems with one team getting a better team. I do prefer this way if you have one guy who wants in and can't find another. Let him choose his team and then try to promote the remaining team to potential new owners.

2.) Random drawing - If we have two owners, we put each of their names in a hat 5 times and draw out one name. Name drawn gets to choose their team. Did this last year in my 10 team 3 man keeper league. Team drawn out first took the best team and beat the other new owner in the superbowl. (I was 13-2, then lost both playoff games)
