McCoy.Is there anything to see here with a improved offense/passing game/no winslow for zach miller to compete with? We have been waiting for him to become relevant again.
Just saw on twitter Seattle signed Evan Moore. Not sure how this affects Miller's value.Seahawks RReports @CBSSportsNFLSEAAfter giving Kellen Winslow the pink slip, the Seahawks have turned around and signed TE Evan Moore, according to @Curtis_Crabtree.View conversationSnapped Zach up as fast as possible just in case
I agree, Moore is a solid acquisition.Winslow is not the player he once was (or should have been), but surprised to see him cut. I am not sure what Winslow's salary was, but perhaps that was a factor here.Moore's a solid pickup - yeah, the guy was a red zone beast for a few games. Winslow has less in the tank than his dad does. Hope the Raiders don't sign him, they don't need someone out there catching nothing.
It's really pathetic that these end of career divas really don't realize they aren't special any more. You see it every year with one or more of them. They are shocked they can't command the money they think they are worth, and other teams aren't falling all over themselves to obtain them. For guys who think they are still God's gift to the sport it must be quite a wake up call.I think its worth noting that Seattle would have opted to keep Winslow if he had taken a pay cut. It was Winslow's choice to leave.
Winslow is only 29. He's averaged over 70 catches in the past 3 years, including 75 last year, #6 among TEs. He's hardly at the end of his career; he will be picked up.It's really pathetic that these end of career divas really don't realize they aren't special any more. His age isn't the issue. His knees are, and his ability to run after the catch. He got a lot of catches, but he holds little value. Evidence? Two teams in a few months' time don't care that he had 70 catches, they didn't want him.Winslow is only 29. He's averaged over 70 catches in the past 3 years, including 75 last year, #6 among TEs. Not sure why you think that. Miller was a nice option when he was in Oakland. Definitely more of a threat than Moore.Moore is a bigger threat to Miller than KW was; in terms of FF value anyway

When has Moore ever been a nice option? Miller is 1 year removed from being the best receiving option on his team. I'm not saying he's a top 10 or elite at his position, but I'd be surprised if Moore is ever worthy of a start, and I don't think he tops Miller. The key word in your sentence has been bolded. Not sure why you think that. Miller is going to waste away again on the OL while Moore spilts into the slot, I would cut Miller in my leagues but I gave up too much to get him 3 yrs ago and I'm going to wait one more yr before I toss him away^^thisWhen has Moore ever been a nice option? Seems like an odd amount of scorn and vitriol for a guy not wanting to take a pay cut. Winslow is a world class athlete and in the top !% in the world of people who do what he does, it's pretty weird for him to be mocked by some nerds on the internet for not knowing that they have deemed his career to be over. So he didn't want to take a pay cut, big deal. It's really pathetic that these end of career divas really don't realize they aren't special any more. You see it every year with one or more of them. Winslow is going to get signed by another NFL team, he just needs to lower his expectations for the size of the contract.Anybody holding on to Winslow in hopes of getting some twilight years (games) out of him? Or is it time to cut him loose...?

Probably because New England brings in everybody and their dog for a workout. Wake me up when they sign him.Winslow in NE for a workout and NOBODY'S talking about this???
....yeah, but his dog has good kneesProbably because New England brings in everybody and their dog for a workout. Wake me up when they sign him.Winslow in NE for a workout and NOBODY'S talking about this???
Bringing in a washed up tight end that no one else seems to want dosn't exactly make me want to bump up Brady.Winslow in NE for a workout and NOBODY'S talking about this???Am I the only one that finds this intriguing...or other than the fact that ist's been mentioned that dude's knees are 80 years old, am I missing something?Gronk/Welker/Hernandez/Winslow???......................bump Brady...NE doesn't need to run the ball!!!
no thanks!Any idea who might actually sign him? I don't see a lot of good fits out there. Maybe Oakland, Cleveland, or Denver?

he would lose any fantasy relevance he has left if he is on the bench behind the dynamic duo.Worked out for the Pats today.Probably the worst possible spot for him to sign...

The Patriots are expected to sign TE Michael Hoomanawanui to their 53-man roster if he passes a physical.
One of them might be a WR...?NE will have 5 TEs on the roster and one on IR. Speculation in Shancoe might be placed IR. It seems like overkill to me. I got the funny feeling that there may be something up with one of their starting TEs.

Can a team re-assigned the short term IR player if a more crucial player gets hurt? In this case, leave Shiancoe on IR and give the short term IR to another player. If they can't it seems like they are jumping the gun.Shiancoe will be placed on the new short term IR list they are starting this season.NE will have 5 TEs on the roster and one on IR. Nope. You can't change which player gets the "Designated For Return" tag. Also, a team must designate a player for return the moment he goes on IR. (So the Patriots couldn't put Shiancoe on IR today and then designate him for return 3-4 weeks from now).
