Kelvin Benjamin - WR - FSU [UPDATE PAGE 1, 7/3] (3 Viewers)

I am rolling him out with hopes he can find pay dirt at least once...as Shorts/Gordon/Welker are all out for week 1.

Starting him over R. Woods, K. Thompkins, and D. Moore/R. Streater.

I think he sees 8-9 targets against TB.

Stat line like 6 - 80 - 1, wouldn't surprise me.

how do we feel about rolling him out for his debut?
I drafted him to be my WR3 and while I have backup options incase he busts, but I think I am starting him week 1. I don't love Cam being so banged up, but I think he just is going to get so many targets and is such a RZ threat that he can be started.

With the news now that Cam might not play and the limited other options for the afternoon games, I might play it safe and bench Benjamin.

I'm with you. I was all in until the Cam news, but have pulled him. I think he could still do well, but the Bucs D is improved. I still think he will see single coverage and exploit it a few times, but he has a low ceiling this week IMO.

Watching Fantasy Football Today......these clowns have KB as one of the top guys as their week 1 waiver wire grabs.....they are kidding .....right?

Cam possibly being out doesn't help, but Benjamin should still be the number 1 target, so 4-5 catches is still more than doable at worst, you'd think.

They look at guys they think should be owned based on ownership % in ESPN leagues. I think he's only owned in 70% of those leagues. So they are putting the word out that he should be owned for the noobs.

Bench Benjamin at your own risk. During the preseason Anderson got a LOT of time with him. He's clearly the #1 option in the passing game.

Damn it, that's a great point. I am really torn between him and Hunter...I love both guys potential this year.

Faced with the same decision, I'm going Benjamin. I worry that the KC pass rush might keep Locker from exploiting Hunter's strength, the long ball.

Titans have a nice line and the Chiefs gave up the 3rd most deep TDs in the league last year.

Thank's for complicating my decision again, wasn't aware of the 3rd most deep TD's stat. I still think I stick with Benjamin, in ppr at least.

Starting Benjamin in one over guys like Wayne, Latimer and Sankey in the flex. Benching him for Fred Jackson in my other.

Maybe the Bucs would have more than 0 if they drafted him instead of Mike Evans. :bangshead:

Thanks again to this thread. I drafted Ben because this thread forced me to take a closer look at him. I passed on Cooks and all the RBs in my rookie draft to draft Ben.

Thanks again,

Tex

This guy has bust written all over him. For me there is literally nothing to like other than his size. Slow, only one season of production and just doesn't look like an NFL WR athletically. He's not even in my top 10. I wonder how many dynasty leaguers will bite on him early in the 1st?

This is what we have been seeing since we brought him in. He can play, He nearly took that DBs hand with the ball. Oh and I love how all the broadcasts so casually gloss over 92 yards and a TD in his first game. Barely talked about on anything I saw.

:bowtie: Not bad... he even gave me 12 yards extra :)

This guy is a flat out beast. I'm excited to see what he will do once Cam is tossing the rock.

Anyone have video of that 22 yard catch where he was surrounded by 3 people but plucked the ball out the air? Most impressive catch of the day imo.

Awfully quiet from the haters who were awfully loud for a while. I'm sure they will come out after his first bad game and are secretly awaiting failure in the future.

Because anyone who could not see his obvious talent does not deserve to have an opinion on this game. His talent was so obvious, his situation was so great and his size is astounding, yet those haters try to come up with reasons to down this guy.

If you could not see Benjamin coming, maybe this is not the game for you.

I remember a lot of analysts' write-ups saying he would be an ultimate boom or bust player. I really did not have him on my radar at all. Don't know why. Maybe a bias or something.

But anyway, I'm here to order a plate of humble pie or soup or whatever it is because this guy looks super impressive. I hate that I whiffed so bad on this one but it's a good thing-reminds me we don't know it all and we all have our strengths and weaknesses.

He's going to have a year at least as good as Boldin's rookie year, and maybe better. I honestly believe that.

Why are you like this so often?
