I wasn't the one who made the gif and I haven't this anywhere.Hey gchip, would you be able to get the 22 yarder where he caught the ball around 3 defenders?

More props imo.Well, its that time of year again and I have began to start looking at Wide Receivers and as of right now this guy is my #1 Ranked Wide Receiver. He's got the size (6 ft 5, 245 lbs) with athleticism to boot. Great hands.
With a great combine I don't see a way he falls out of the Top 15 this year. He's a freak talent that sits squarely on top of my WR Rankings.
1.) Kelvin Benjamin
2.) Sammy Watkins
3.) Jarvis Landry
4.) Mike Evans
5.) Marquise Lee
This guy is a monster.
This guy is a flat out beast. I'm excited to see what he will do once Cam is tossing the rock.
Really feeling good about owning him. I can watch that td all day.False Start said:Awfully quiet from the haters who were awfully loud for a while. I'm sure they will come out after his first bad game and are secretly awaiting failure in the future.
Because anyone who could not see his obvious talent does not deserve to have an opinion on this game. His talent was so obvious, his situation was so great and his size is astounding, yet those haters try to come up with reasons to down this guy.
If you could not see Benjamin coming, maybe this is not the game for you.
for anyone with nfl rewind it's at 20:15. I'd make a gif but I have no idea how... to...gchip said:I wasn't the one who made the gif and I haven't this anywhere.Digitallinh said:Hey gchip, would you be able to get the 22 yarder where he caught the ball around 3 defenders?
That catch to me really cemented why I like him so much, he just snatched that high ball out of the air and it vanished into his arms. Would anyone be offended if we called him Superman and re-named Cam Superboy? Some Marshall, some Boldin. But taller and heavier. Unreal.

its does, the Detroit secondary stinks and it has a bunch of injuries on top, just lost Bill Bentley for the season.I feel like Benjamin isn't getting enough love in the rankings this week. I thought Detroit's secondary sucks? I don't see how they are going to be able to stop him & Olsen. One of the guys is going to do well.
I know saying he is to slow and only a possession wr... I got laughed at for taking him over Allen Robinson???? Doesn't look to funny now. For the sake of embarrassment and calling shots I will not mention this persons name but I had many a heated arguments about Kelvin and even some high dollar betting saying he wouldn't catch 60-70 balls for 1000 plus. I think it's super funny now because Benjamin is uncoverable and haters want to say he is to slow constantly even though he is a little faster then Boldin was, and bigger so what does fourty times mean in that case??? absolutely nothing.... They learned their lesson on that one.Why are you like this so often?Awfully quiet from the haters who were awfully loud for a while. agreed, Cooks may be 1.... I took Robinson over him - it was a coin flip and came down to Robinson being 2.5 years younger and concern about Benjamin's hands.I know saying he is to slow and only a possession wr... I'd say he reminds me of CJ, but CJ couldn't do in traffic tonite what Benjamin does.
Guy had one good game and we're mentioning him with these three? We might want to ease off the gas just a little on this train. He looked really good, but the comparisons are a little over the top this early. Some Marshall, some Boldin. But taller and heavier. Unreal.
Exactly. I unfortunately own him in none of my leagues. My fault for waiting one pick too long in my non-Charlotte league (he went real fast in my Charlotte leagues), so I had to take Mike Evans, who I like as well. I can't recall who I picked, but I honestly thought I would get him with my next pick and missed by one pick.RBM said:Hope you chest puffers don't jinx this kid.
I think a lot of the reason is because unlike guys like Lee and Latimer and other later picks, Benjamin was roundly picked as one of the potential busts of the draft.TheFanatic said:I'd say he reminds me of CJ, but CJ couldn't do in traffic tonite what Benjamin does.Guy had one good game and we're mentioning him with these three? I'm betting he grabs a few of those.Pepsi Rookie of the Week
He could easily have alot of yards. I think we can be sure of a couple things: 1) He is their best WR, by far; 2) His physical talent and size means he is going to be battling for a ton of throws, often winning; 3) Based on training camp and preseason, Cam likes him and is going to feed him the ball. All of those things = huge opportunity every week.I don't see KB having alot of yards but I do think he catches his second TD of the season. Lions do have above average height corners so I don't think he'll physically manhandle them like he did Jenkins.
I like that the Panthers seem to move him all over the field. Saw him line up in the slot quite a bit and a mismatch can be exploited with rookie nickel corner Lawson.
I heard he was a Coke guy.I'm betting he grabs a few of those.Pepsi Rookie of the Week
He had a couple mind numbingly bad drops, then he pulls that fantastic one hander out. His rookie side showed a bit yesterday with the drops though.Did anyone watch this game? How did he look? I heard he had some drops.
He actually made two long catches although the one hander was all that. But I would say the drops weren't all him. A couple were but not all. I don't think it's a coincidence he did so well with DA last week. That's who has been throwing to him the most in the preseason. I think he will get better with Cam as Cam gets reps in. I liked his comments after the game on the drops. No deflection a simple "I have to work harder to fix those issues". No more down than he was up about his TD last week. That seems like a real good thing in a long season. And it should be noted he was wide open for some stuff that Cam threw elsewhere. One of them looked like a sure touchdown if he was thrown to. Cam will get better and as he does Benji will do better. He had a couple mind numbingly bad drops, then he pulls that fantastic one hander out. Really good stuff here. Thanks for insight. Good luck to your Panthers..nice start to season and Sunday night spotlight this week.I was at the game and thought Benjamin looked solid. Detroit regularly put a safety over the top on him, but he didn't have much difficulty getting open. He had one drop that was horrible, one that he probably should have come down with, and one where Cam Newton threw the ball so hard, a lot of seasoned vets would have struggled with it.
Honestly, I think that's the cause of a number of issues with the drops this weekend. Derek Anderson is more of a touch passer, while Cam basically throws fastballs. He's a guy that takes a little time to learn from, especially as a rookie who hasn't spent a lot of time with Cam.
With all of that said, I noticed some things. After every drop, Kelvin came to the huddle and took responsibility for it. Two out of the three times, Cam immediately went back to him on the next play. One of those ended up being the spectacular catch.
A little off subject, but the Panthers redzone offense is insane. Cotchery, Avant, and Olsen all have fantastic hands run precise routes, Benjamin is massive and can go up and get the ball. On top of that Newton has the option to run, along with Stewart and Tolbert being excellent goal line runners. Benjamin will benefit from his size in the redzone, but with all of the options in Carolina, he may not get as many looks in that area as you'd assume in most situations.
I was wondering that too...I have a trade offer out where I give Bradshaw (DEEEEEP at RB) and get Benjamin...I'm waiting on clarity on this before deciding.Any word on the knee injury that kept him out of practice yesterday?

Watched him live tonight and have to say I agree. He's for real. Definitely missed on this one over the offseason.STUD!
Guys are looking like you know football.Benjamin has almost 30 lbs. on Bryant (some would to his detriment) but Bryant outperformed him on every metric at the combine by a good margin.Odds of that are very very slim. Not close talent wise and look no further than the guys getting paid to figure this out. I will go with NFL scouting dept over message board lod01Yep. Bryant will outperform Benjamin over the course of their careers.I'd rather draft the same upside with Martavis Bryant in the late 2nd/early 3rd round.Could pan out, but I'm probably going to let someone else find out unless he's dirt cheap.
Despite the weight advantage, Benjamin did 13 bench reps to Bryant's 16.
