Kelvin Benjamin - WR - FSU [UPDATE PAGE 1, 7/3] (1 Viewer)

I woke up and got two td's from Benjamin, it's all good.

i will keep rolling him out and not overanalyze his massive Rookie year production.

probably starting mbryant over kelvin in my flex... people who didnt watch that pile of crap last night are going to look at this box score and be impressed.... but if not for one of the most epic garbage time 4th qtrs in fantasy history benjamin has 2 crap games in a row and that carolina offense is a disaster
I agree but can you sit him vs ATL? their D is pretty terrible

Gotta stop sitting GTate for KB, garbage or no garbage. Thing is every expert list everywhere ranks kb above gtate every week of the year.

Cam starting bothers me more than the few drops which can improve yet when he's five feet away and Cam is throwing rockets....he's going to have a few drops that's not totally his fault as a rookie.

Hopefully he will practice during the off season and get better. It dc his upside and targets that makes him hard to sit.

At this point he's ranked #11 in my league.

last i checked the saints d and eagles d were two of the most generous in giving up WR points... and for 7 qtrs he didnt do anything against them. the one thing in common from both games is the panthers o-line was abhorrent. cam has a hard enough time being accurate with a clean pocket... now he has to run for his life every pass play.

With Cam having supposedly 2 bad ankles now, do we think they might sit him? Does Benjamin's value rise if so?

lol, so you are more impressed with Bryants 80yrd garbage time TD with 1:28 left?

rise?
DA does throw a nice ball to him and doesn't try to force it to him in triple coverage.
thats quite a leap going from just one game

I would take Cam consistently over DA in regards to KB's fantasy stats
Over the next 5yrs sure, over the next 5 games not so sure.

I think you are confusing what garbage time is. Scoring a TD to bring you within one score with 1:28 to play is not garbage time. Scoring 2 TDs down 45-7 with less than 5 mins to play, that's garbage time.

Yeah having seen MNF with my own eyes like many in here, I say bring on DA at QB.

I see you guys point. And until cam is healthy I would have to agree

Are we down on him enough that OBJ has passed him up ROS or dynasty? Been offered that trade basically straight up. Pretty close to pulling trigger since I'm in playoff hunt and OBJ is through bye.

My personal opinion is yes. I see neither Cam's OLine nor his own health turning any kind of a corner anytime soon. Beckham is a superior route runner and the Giants have other options to consume at least some of the defenses attention. That said, I don't think the average production is going to be dramatically better for OBJ, but I definitely think it's going to be better. I would make that trade. Full disclosure: I traded KB and C-Pat for Marshall and VJax a couple of weeks ago.

ETA: The comments above are for ROS. I see them being somewhat equal in dynasty from what little we know about potential team improvements and so on.

Yeah. I'll take DA all day. Cam has been horrible. Either KB can't catch it because it's nowhere near him, or KB can't catch it because he throws it 90 mph. At the end of the day, DA will at least throw a more catchable ball. Also factor in the fact that he's not going to run (well...Cam might not either with those bum ankles), and you get more RZ plays to other folks.

I don't know where you're getting that from. Cam's fine.

ya if there is one thing derrick anderson is known for, its the touch on his passes.

This guy is like ying and yang. Sometimes he looks like a top-5 WR with the passes he pulls in and sometimes he looks awful. I know he's only a rookie (though he's like 2.5 years older than Evans I think) but it's still confusing.

Its not really him....its the QB situation. He doesn't get alot of easy ones to catch.

I'm not talking about the horrible passes he gets that shouldn't even count as "targets", I'm talking about the easy ones that he just straight up drops.

Trust me, I want to see the best in him, I just traded for him in dynasty. It's just disconcerting to see him drop easy ones and then make circus catches downfield.

I'm going to make a push to trade for this guy in my Dynasty's off season. I traded away all my Draft Picks but I didn't have any picks in this year's draft and I ended up with Brandin Cooks anyway.

I just dealt him and Sproles for OBJ and Stills. Just don't like his hands, route running, or QB. All that said, I think he is probably right there with OBJ/Cooks/Evans....I just feel like they are close to a toss up and OBJ is already through his bye.

Opportunity alone will make him a top 15 WR every year. There is no competition there and Cam already locks in on him. Imagine if they ever build some chemistry.

Maybe I am wrong, but it seems to me that Cam rifles his passes as hard as he can--regardless of need--with great frequency. I would not be shocked if some of KB's drops are due to Cam throwing unnecessarily hard. Perhaps it is still the WR's fault in that situation but Cam probably doesn't make it any easier (like a Rodgers or Brees would).

thats a great point and that is definitely a factor

no one throws a ball like rodgers.. man

Not sure if we can count on no competition next year, let alone years.

Mike Evans better FF WR for the rest of the way now that McCown is throwing it than Kevlin B and Cam throwing it at this point? I was riding Kelvin much of the season, but between targets diminishing and drops.

Any thoughts?

I have a similar dilemma in my keeper league, where I have been offered Benjamin straight up for my Evans. PPR, so I decided to stick with Evans, although I seem to change my mind every hour. His QB situation is uncertain for next year, but I feel like with TB most likely pursuing a new option at QB, that offered more upside than hoping Cam would develop more as a passer and/or Carolina doesn't acquire any new receiving options.

For this year, I think Kelvin will slightly outproduce Evans. He is still the best bet for more targets, and the schedule is better, although he draws NO and CLE during fantasy playoffs, which I think are tougher matchups for him than the Fantasy Pts allowed grid may suggest. Keenan Lewis already did a pretty good job on Benjamin this year, and Haden has been much better of late. But if you are being offered a trade, keep in mind that Benjamin is on bye next week, so if you are in a win to get in situation, I'd take Evans over Benjamin no doubt.

Can't get anything for him right now. Maybe I'm asking too much. I offered Ivory and KB for Forsett to a WR needy team. No dice. Same to the Ingram owner who only has Antonio Brown and slop, no go. I guess people are still skeptical. Hell I asked for Bradshaw and still nothing.

So KB and an RB3 are not worth an RB2 borderline RB1 in my league.

Wow. I'd love to have him for that.

Been there, RB vs WR supply/demand is just making the market tough.

Not a whole lot of workhorse rbs out there right now. I guess I can see that, but Benjamin has been as consistent as most rbs.
