Pretty sure Vince Wolfork could guard him without any safety help.

This is true. However now he is the butt of all fat jokes which may spark something....if something is left to be sparked. If he cared about his next contract he wouldn't have let this happen.
Such an original joke I have not seen on twitter 85 gazillion times this week. Nailed it!Him and Eddie Lacy are tiiiiigghhtt
Yeah, him not playing this way has me concerned. Eddie (since some brought him up) has played fat and had success, a slow WR getting fatter who wasnt fat? Not a good prospective feel for being able to have success. I rather have a guy trying to run through people be fat than a guy who has to catch and run away from people being fat. Can he get air for those jump balls now?Holy Fat Albert, Batman
Sounds like a long season ahead, especially against the quarterbacks and receivers in that division. This blurb is a bit more encouraging though. I want to believe.

Kelvin Benjamin beat Daryl Worley, and any other DB thrown at him, like a drum all day long. Numerous pictures coming in show yesterday’s “fat photo” to be just an unflattering shot. It is time to put these concerns to bed in my opinion. He came in overweight, the amount was overstated, and he is leaning up and working hard. Let it go.
Thx budSuch an original joke I have not seen on twitter 85 gazillion times this week. Nailed it!

Speaking Tuesday, Panthers coach Ron Rivera said Kelvin Benjamin is "where he needs to be" weight-wise.
The Panthers put Benjamin on blast during the offseason, but he got the message. Despite the weight issues and a disappointing 2016, Benjamin is still the Panthers' No. 1 receiver. If he can avoid Eddie Lacy status, he's a touchdown scorer who should produce as a WR2/3.

Yes this is not as glowing of a review you think a coach would give after getting on his WR's case. Sounds like he is making progress but not where the coach would like him to be by the time the season starts.Hmmmm...."his weight is where it should be." That is nothing like "Kelvin has worked hard and is in excellent shape." I am probably reading too much but it sounds like the kind of statement that you say when you are not satisfied but don't feel like talking about it any longer. Hopefully he is motivated.
He never skips the jam.Not only is his weight a concern, but those who watch a lot of tape say he is not good at beating the jam at the line of scrimmage. Not a fan at all at his ADP this year.
According to the Charlotte Observer, Kelvin Benjamin has looked "leaner" and "quick off the ball" early in Panthers camp.
The observation comes one day after coach Ron Rivera stated Benjamin is back "where he needs to be" from a weight and conditioning standpoint. Benjamin has been falling to the seventh and sometimes eighth rounds of July drafts and could prove a value pick there based on his touchdown ceiling.

Benjamin caught 1-of-5 targets for 25 yards in the Panthers' Week 1 win over the 49ers.
It is not a pretty stat line, but it is not really Benjamin's fault. Cam Newton struggled including forcing a pass to Benjamin in double coverage in the first half, and the Panthers only threw six times with the game well in hand after the break. Benjamin should have a better game next week against the Bills.
Rappaport claims he "avoided major injury", whatever the hell that meansHas anyone read anything in more detail about Benjamin's leg injury? We may not know anymore until Mon or Tuesday, but perhaps someone read something.
An MRI revealed no structural damage to Kelvin Benjamin's left knee, but his Week 4 status is unclear.
Coach Ron Rivera didn't have much of an update beyond Benjamin's MRI news. We would consider him genuinely questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots. A limited practice on Wednesday would be a great sign.

Panthers wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin has been on the injury report for a few weeks with a knee problem.
But it may be worth seeing what he does the rest of the week, after an unusual addition to the injury report.
Via Bill Voth of the team’s official website, Benjamin left practice early Wednesday and was listed as not participating. It’s unclear if he aggravated the previous injury or if there’s another problem, or whether they anticipated it.
Kelvin Benjamin is inactive for Week 9 against the Jets.
A Bill for only two days, Benjamin didn't have enough time to learn the playbook on a short week. His absence means Jordan Matthews and Zay Jones will form the Bills' starting duo for one more game. With six teams on bye, Benjamin's absence has little effect on dual-threat Tyrod Taylor's forecast. He's been making due without weapons all season. Benjamin should be fully expected to make his Bills debut in Week 10. Also inactive for the Bills are WR Brandon Tate, CB E.J. Gaines, OG John Miller, OT Seantrel Henderson, TE Charles Clay and OT Conor McDermott.

Bills coach Sean McDermott says Kelvin Benjamin is still getting acclimated to the offense.
"He’s about where I thought he would be.Trying to get up to speed and detail his work. We just have to continue and refine it for him so he can play fast." Benjamin has been getting extra reps with Tyrod Taylor to work on his timing. He’ll be active Sunday, but shouldn’t see a ton of targets. Benjamin is Rotoworld’s No. 35-ranked receiver for Week 10.

Kelvin Benjamin played 41-of-48 snaps (85 percent) Week 10 against the Saints.
Despite Sunday being his first game with the team, Benjamin led Buffalo's receiver corps in snaps while seeing the most targets. The Bills also set out to get him going early, targeting Benjamin three times on the opening drive. The offense as a whole struggled against the Saints, but Benjamin should be a useful fantasy option the rest of the way if this usage continues.

Tyrod now out. How does Peterman change things? Not if Tyrod is still the QB. He's afraid to throw the ball. Trent Edwards 2.0

We haven't seen anything since preseason, until this past week. He did target Benjamin twice in those 2 drives, which is double of what TT did all gameTyrod now out. How does Peterman change things?
I don't think so. It was shocking how much better the offense looked when Peterman came in. Sure, prevent defense and all the rest of those caveats, but I assume the Saints were in prevent the entire fourth quarter. Taylor was simply awful this week, and not so great last week either, except for garbage time. I think you'll see at least a few weeks of production - the real test will come once opponents get film on Peterman.Well you can forget about rest of this season
Bills GM Brandon Beane said he wants to see how Kelvin Benjamin fits in the new offense before discussing a contract extension.
Benjamin is entering the final year of his rookie deal. In addition to his fit, Beane likely wants to see how healthy and in shape Benjamin is before discussing a long-term deal. Benjamin caught 16 passes for 217 yards and a touchdown in six games with the Bills last year after coming over from Carolina via a trade, although he was never really healthy during that run.

Ugh. Just shut up man. Trashing a QB like Cam when you're going to be catching balls from AJ McCarron or Josh Allen seems really dumb.
Agreed. We all know that Cam is inconsistent and inaccurate at times, but this is a bad look for a WR who has largely underachieved thus far in the NFL. Putting the blame for it on his ex-team and ex-QB is poor form.Ugh. Just shut up man. Trashing a QB like Cam when you're going to be catching balls from AJ McCarron or Josh Allen seems really dumb.
