Guy has been tearing it up this year. He's a couple years removed from his big hamstring injury which was really the low point in his career. One thing I've noticed is he's been much more patient at the plate this year. He's on pace to draw about double the walks as the previous two years totals and he's hitting more home runs per AB this year than the past few years.
Season totals .291/21HR/50RBI
One thing I find exciting is Jr. is really close to finishing 1st place in the NL Outfield voting for the All-Star Game. It's a lot of fun to see the fans getting excited for him again.
Griffey Jr. recently passed Mark McGwire to take 7th place on the all time Home Run list when he hit number 584. The chances of him hitting #600 during the 07 season is looking good.

I grew up about 5 hours from Chicago and even being a lot closer to where Thomas was playing than Girffey, no one would have given up a Griffey rookie for a Thomas rookie straight up. We weren't much into prices where I lived so maybe those were close but people really wanted Griffey rookies and I don't remember many who coveted Thomas at all.
