Ken Whisenhunt talks about QB competition (1 Viewer)

On local radio today Whisenhunt, when given the chance, did not say Leinart would be the starter. He said there would be a competition in the preseason, and whoever played better would be the starter. He said he had "confidence" in Leinart to play well, but he also really likes what he has seen out of Anderson. Nothing really new, but it was interesting to hear him really keep the door open for Anderson.

You can here him discuss it here at about the 3:55 mark. Right after he discusses the QB situation, he talks about how he feels the improved OL will help with the running game, and mentioned both Hightower and Beanie as getting playing time.

interesting definitely. the talk has been of them propping up Leinart's ego and handing him the job to lose. This is a pretty significant shift from that.
