Kenny Britt (1 Viewer)

He's looking good and Collins obviously wants to get him the ball.

Glad I finally cut ties with Carolina Steve Smith to pick Britt up! That was hard for me to do

It started so well... and then just fell apart. Still, I'll take the blame for my own decision to start him this week. Just not the smartest move.

I missed the game. Benched Britt mostly because I was too tired to stay up last night. What a reason to bench a guy, eh? I see that it worked out. as I'll play Nicks and Boldin. Anyone have any opinions on how he looked? Was it rust? Was it Collins? I see that Collins had 3 TD's. Does it look encouraging for Britt next week?

I welcome any opinion/analysis of Britt's play.

TIA

Started off the game with a good amount of targets. Had several drops that probably should have been caught. Don't know if it was rust, still a bit injured, or whatever. Was not really targeted deep all night, but no one really was for TEN.

All of the Titan's drives were a result of Chris Johnson getting them into scoring position. The 3 passing TDs came in the red zone and two were to TE's.

So basically, if you are desperate for a WR in the playoffs then he might be worth looking at if nothing is available, but I see no reason for him to breakout with a 100+ yd 1 TD performance next week. TEN hasn't been scoring offensive TDs recently at all.

Thanks for the analysis. I was hoping for Britt maybe being a starter because of the great matchups the next two weeks against Houston and KC. But then again, I thought the matchup against the Colt's secondary was a good one, so I dunno... :goodposting:

I didn't see the game. Biggest question for those that did...does he look completely healthy and does Collins look completely healthy?

If so next week is a great matchup. Got to shake some rust off this game and now has a week and a half to practice and get back on page with Collins.

I watched it off and on. During the plays he got the ball, Britt looked explosive. He did fumble it away though once. Collins looked fine.

he looked healthy and explosive. Bummed he didn't put up better stats, but Collins wasn't exactly Tom Brady out there.

I am hoping I didn't make too big of a mistake in starting him, but I am interested to hear the evaluation of whether he looks healthy or not. He could be a good play in the playoffs (if I didn't screw myself with the premature start this week).

If you have a bye this week and wanted to see where Britt fits in your lineup for next week against Houston, I think you can consider this game mission accomplished. He just moved into low2/high 3 with a ton(s) of upside.

On a side note; Vincent Jackson please take note.

I was only able to watch (most of) the first half of the game last night, but I came away feeling good about Britt. My question still is, how much will he split snaps with Moss going forward?

Most recent update on RotoWorld: Kenny Britt-WR- Titans Dec. 10 - 8:44 am et

Coach Jeff Fisher confirmed that Kenny Britt will be starting over Randy Moss going forward.

"Kenny was a starter here and he came back," Fisher said. "I'm pleased with everything Randy has done. He's been great with the guys and great in the locker room ... They're playing the same position and so we try our best to rotate them. But Kenny was feeling good and he made some plays for us." Britt's eight targets led the team while Moss didn't see a single pass. We'd expect more of the same over the final three games.

Seems like Randy Moss has given up so it's no surprise that the Titans give up on him.

britt looked pretty good but im not really happy with his situation. collins is horrible, as is the gameplanning. they hardly looked downfield and when they did there was a very low chance of success.

They played the cover 2 INDY defense who barely anybody passes on. They play HOU & KC the next two weeks. Hes an absoulte must start

Even over Garcon? I'm not sure I can do that. But maybe I can.

He looked healthy enough, the offense (QB) is the problem. I think he is a borderline #2 WR right now, depends who else you have at the position. If they get a good QB in the offseason/draft, he is likley to reach must start status, but not yet.

I potentially have the exact same decision to make if I advance. It doesn't get much better than a HOU matchup.

I have the same exact decision. Starting Britt with confidence. Garcon's been #### all year and is Manning's 3rd favorire receiever

Well how about an absolute "must consider". It does depend on your other options. I can start 2 or 3 WR's and am stacked at RB so I usually choose just 2 WRs. It's hard to bench Boldin or Nicks for Britt. I'd have to bench one of my stud RB's. But a definite "must consider" I agree.

I'll 2nd (or 5th) the notion that Britt looked good and explosive. Perfectly healthy.

Collins played well. There was a blown PI call against Britt which killed a good drive. Britt looked like he could get open at will and he and KC were on the same page. Collins had only about 2 bad throws the whole night. He got pretty good protection. TEN moved the ball well.

Had some of the blown PI calls against TEN not happened (including the phantom PI in the end zone), TEN would have won or been in a much better position to have won.

I'll have to decide between Garcon and Britt next weekend as well. A few things to look at:-Garcon played great last night, and could have done even better. He too has a good matchup next week against Jacksonville, which is an important game for the Colts and a lot of points will be scored. Their matchups are close in my opinion, Houstin being a bit easier, but the difference is evened out by Manning being the better QB.

-Britt had some flashes last night, showed potential but also looked a bit rusty. He was targeted often at the beginning but the team leaned on Chris Johnson over the last half. Could have racked up some nice yardage totals but had a few drops and pass interference calls that also caused one or two of them.

-News going around today is the coaches are now thinking about changing Moss' position so they can have both Randy and Kenny on the field during two-WR sets. Not sure if teams will still look to double Moss, but those opposite Moss (Welker, Harvin, and even to an extent Washington) tend to do well.

-Austin Collie was out yet again, but has been practicing. His return could take away from Garcon's targets but I don't think it will. White received quite a few last night and Pierre still had good stats. There should be enough going around to provide value for three of the four Colts receivers, so its just a guess as to who will be the odd man out between Wayne, Garcon, Tamme, and Collie.

-Britt went off for 7/225/3 in his last game, and Collins spoke very highly of him afterwards speaking on Kenny's talent and that he was going to be a big part of their game plans going forward. Britt had some challenging matchups against PIT/NYG/DEN/PHI early in the year and still put up respectable numbers, even with the QB changes going on. Collins should be getting settled in now.

*Sorry to turn this into a "WDIS" between Garcon/Britt, but I think its a good discussion on where people are seeing Britt's value during these important weeks. Good luck!
