What do you expect from him this week? Are you starting him? Flexing him? If so, over who?
I'm in the same boat. Byes and injuries (Walker). But I have another option in Crayton. NE likes to take away a team's best weapon (which is either TO or Witten depending on who you talk to) which should leave Crayton open. But I think that Curtis has a chance for a monster game and am going with him....Starting him. But, like any receiver it will end up somewhere between a 0-100 yards and 0-2 TD's.Oh, my whole bench is on bye. Go figure.![]()
That's a bold prediction....11/220/3
I'm expecting (or should I say hoping for) 5+ receptions for 70+ yards with a decent chance of a TD against that sad NYJ defense. I'm starting him in a flex position over (RB STL) Brian Leonard. I would LOVE to see 11/221/3 again though. What do you expect from him this week? Are you starting him? Flexing him? If so, over whom?
All Ds? You mean just the Giants?Philly played Detroit in week 3, the Giants in week 4, then a bye.The book is out on how to defend Curtis.
Detroit played their CB's off of him, giving a big 10+ yard cushion & he proceeded to tear them a new one. Since then all D's have instructed their CB's to play the press againast him & he's simply not phsyical enough to beat the jamb quickly & then use his speed to get the seperation he enjoyed against Detroits soft coverage.
He'll probably end up with a 4 for 58 yard game or something like that, but if you're expecting another blow up like he had against the Motor City Kitties, I don't see it happening.
That's kinda what I'm basing my start of Curtis in this game. That and coming off the bye can only help....All Ds? You mean just the Giants?Philly played Detroit in week 3, the Giants in week 4, then a bye.The book is out on how to defend Curtis.

He had 2 for 53 yds in week 1 and 4 for 28 yds in week 2. His week 3 success probably had more to do with Detroit's defense sucking, than about his receiving prowess.
But McNabb is better than Eli, Green, Losman, and McNair.Aside from that one play that Burress stiff-armed a pathetic attempt of a tackle by Dyson, the Giants passing game did nothing. The week before in Buffalo, Evans got 6 for 72, but no tds.Chambers got 6 for 101, and no tds.Week 2, Mason: 8 for 54 no tds.Week 1, Moss went off, but he and NE have done that to everyone.Curb your enthusiasm. Curtis isn't as good as Burress, Chambers, Evans, nor Mason.
No, I don't mean just the Giants.Prior to the Detroit game, both Green Bay & Washington had both employed press coverage against him. Detroit's defensive gameplan is the only one this year to play their CB's off him.All Ds? Doesn't mean the Jets won't do the same. Or that Curtis sees this flaw in his game and makes adjustments over the bye week....No, I don't mean just the Giants.Prior to the Detroit game, both Green Bay & Washington had both employed press coverage against him. I think the cornerbacks' style of coverage has a lot less impact on Curtis's success than whether Westbrook is in the game and the time that McNabb has to pass. Against the Lions Westbrook was a dynamo and McNabb had all day to throw; against the Giants Westbrook was on the bench and the d-line was in McNabb's face all day.The Jets have no pass rush to speak of, and Westbrook looks ready to go, so I'm starting Curtis with pleasure this week. No, I don't mean just the Giants.Prior to the Detroit game, both Green Bay & Washington had both employed press coverage against him.
