RB Handcuffs In The Playoffs (1 Viewer)

Chris Rodriguez anyone? I added him last night
Is something wrong with Brian Robinson? If not, then I can't see much value for Rodriguez and damn sure wouldn't play him.
Did you read the thread title? Thanks for your input
I suppose it depends on who I have to drop. I generally don't play the "in case of injury" game in the playoffs, unless I have a deep bench.
He didn’t need an injury last game. I’m not starting him either but I liked what a saw against the Titans and Ekeler and Robinson were both start worthy this season. I’ll see what he does this week, could see a lot of run

Rodriguez had 10 runs for 58 yards and 2 tds last year week 15.

Then why are you posting in the "RB handcuffs in the Playoffs" thread?

Wouldnt McNichols be the handcuff?

I wouldn’t be surprised if Rodriguez leap frogs him

My bench: Tyrone Tracy, Devin Singletary, Kenneth Gainwell, Craig Reynolds, Gus Edwards, Jaylen Wright & Jeremy McNichols
Singletary, Gainwell, Reynolds are all likely cloggers. There really isn't upside with any of them. I don't know what's on the wire but I would imagine I could find guys that have more upside to stash over those players.

I think McNichols plays the Ekeler part and Rodriguez the Robinson part. It takes one of Ekeler or Robinson to be out for either to have any value at all. Both have some value if they get those chances though.

I added Corum to no avail.......I'm impressed Kyren has held up with no issues given his massive workload.

Singletary, sure. Not sure I agree about Gainwell & Reynolds both of whom would step into large roles behind two of the best offensive lines on two of the highest scoring offenses in the league. Maybe Shipley and Vaki would be the better options but I'm siding with the veterans for the playoff push.

And I doubt you would find much on the wire in the FBG Home league but, please take a look.

I guess we disagree on the "large roles" part. While they are on high powered offenses with good O-Lines I don't see either as having significant roles. Gainwell has been there without Barkley and they just don't use him in a large role. He will get more touches but it is likely a split with Shipley and you still have Hurts stealing TD's.

Reynolds will be a mop up guy as Gibbs will just take more of the pie. No way Reynolds gets Monty's touches.

Maybe.

Curious what everyone's strategy is at this point if they are holding handcuffs?

You've made it to week 15 and if your RB starter is healthy, you've only got at most, two more games to go.

So, do you hold on tight still? Or do you roll the dice and ditch the handcuff for a higher upside play?

For example, I'm holding E. Wilson for J. Jacobs. However, there's all kinds of goodies on the wire (P. Taylor, Ray Davis, or a streamer D like WASH) who could give me a win in week 15.
I would go with the streamer D as that helps you today. Ray Davis would be the RB I would want of that group, but not over a D that can help me this week.

Or next week. My opponent did terrible last night and I’m already looking ahead. Could grab Detroit d for next week

Was thinking DET D myself. Already have BUF (vs NE) but considering DET (@CHI) or INDY (vs TN).

if you drop wilson for Davis you basically need 2 injuries to happen to make Davis startable - or an injury to Jacobs only forcing you to start another back up instead of Jacob's handcuff

Dropping Wilson for a back that might get an audition for 2025 (Tank, Roschon if healthy) might be a worthwhile strategy though

Or whatever one. It’s a starting asset that can help you win now.
