What do you think is going to happen with KE? Is he going to be the recieving TE for the Bills?

I stashed him on my roster at the end of last year, and I'm wondering if he has a future.

TIA

Greg Ceislak was above him as the 2nd TE last I checked. There was a thread here about those two and Aaron didn't seem to care for them so much but instead thought Royal was "the man" in Buff this year. I was a bit surprised.

tough to say right now.

Everett has the most upside, but he's currently only #3 on the depth chart and coming back from a torn ACL. When healthy, he's the only TE on the roster who is capable of causing matchup problems with his speed so he could see time in 2-TE sets as a receiving TE.

Royal was given a pretty decent sized contract and has taken pretty much all the starter reps during minicamps. He's the best blocker of the group and the team thinks very highly of him. He'll see the most playing time.

the wild card in the group is Brad Cieslak. He was an unsigned free agent last year out of Northern Illinois who made the practice squad and saw some special teams action late in the season. He's a strong blocker who has some skills as a receiver but not much speed. His play was so impressive during minicamps that they bumped him from #4 or 5 all the way up to #2 on the depth chart.

Thanks Rudi.

I found this on Royal:

Bills | Team would like to see Royal in receiving game

Published Tue Jun 20 3:32:00 p.m. ET 2006

(KFFL) Chris Brown, of BuffaloBills.com, reports the Buffalo Bills acquired TE Robert Royal during the offseason primarily for his blocking skills, but the team would like to see him expand his receiving game. "When I came in I had full confidence in myself and the coaching staff had confidence in me," said Royal. "They told me coming in that they want to utilize me some in the passing game. If I catch one or two balls a game I'm excited. If I'm blocking more than I catch I'm still excited."

It looks like we're having the same conversation this year,

with a training camp battle between Royal and Everett.

Everett just cant seem to win the job, I went to camp today and Everett dropped a few easy receptions.

Royal made a nice TE Screen for what would have been a large gain.
