Kevin Jones is going to be a stud (1 Viewer)

Those of us who have owned Kevin Jones all this time and kept him on the bench have been so patient, and now it's finally going to pay off. 15 carries for 76 yards and a TD, plus 6 receptions for 34 yards. And he looked better than that, actually. the best news is, that except for Duckett spelling him for one set of carries, Jones was in there almost the whole game.

If you've got him, you can start him with confidence the rest of the season. We're looking at a top ten RB, possibly top 5 in PPL. With this offense, the sky's the limit!

He is definitely shaping up to be one of the biggest steals of the draft. Just cross your fingers he doesn't get hurt again.

I picked him up off waivers. After three week, one of my opponents was impatient, and took Tatum Bell Instead. I grabbed Jones in a heartbeat and kept him on my bench until this week.

I don't like his schedule for uber success, but maybe he will overcome it.
I agree. He is a great sell high candidate, especially with all the injuries to starting RBs in the league. I am looking for takers in my league, but I will need something of value in return. I dont think Jones' value wll be any higher.

I don't think his schedule is that bad.Chicago - 28th against the rushDenver - 31stArizona - 19thGiants - 14thGreen Bay - 15thMinnesota - 2ndDallas - 8thSan Diego - 10thKansas City - 22ndGreen Bay - 15thAnd even if he's playing a tough run D, he's involved enough in the passing game to overcome it. I'll hold on to KJ against the above.

:)

I SELL high on KJ, with the injuries to RB's his value will never be greater. He plays the Bears next week and they did a good job on Westy today, so you can figure KJ will get about half of what Westy got.

Did you see the Bears game last week? The Bears gave up about 986 rushing yards. I'd give KJ as good a chance as any RB to rack up the points, especially the way Martz throws him the ball.

Westy got 119 total yards. That's not awful. And with all the injuries you mention, I'd think it be imperative to have a back that's not sharing carries, is the goalline back AND is a threat in the passing game. These are rarities.

Agree. The point is, considering where he was taken in drafts, he may well be the SOD. I will ride this horse to the promise land.

I got him of our waiver wire and looking to deal him and Roy Williams to the owner of Ronnie Brown (who also needs WR help) for Romo.

I did too. Had a weak RB2 (Green, JJones) situation all year and caught an owner dumping for bye week coverage. Still gonna lose though and lead my league in points in 6th place at 3-4. I know, venting and ptts, but damn that's a tough place to be and I'm happy Jones looks like a producer. If only Martz would realize his QBs will live longer if he ran more.

I'm in 3 leagues...I drafted him late in 3 leagues. I traded him in one of them, but it was still a good trade. I got good value because I knew what I had in the long run and so did the other owner.

Count me as another one who got KJ off waivers when an impatient owner dropped him. He hasn't cracked my starting lineup yet, but with the suspension looming in Travis Henry's future, KJ is coming on just in time. Looks like I will be playing matchups with Westbrook, Jacobs, and Jones!

he looked really really good today. fast and ran with authority. 6 catches should be about his average from here on out as well. Plenty to be excited about for sure.

I excitedly started KJ for the 1st time this season (benching MBIII). Much to my dismay (rather joy), all three of my RBs had almost identical #s.

Larry Johnson 112 r-yds; 1 td; 6 rec; 21 r-yds (25.8 pts)

Kevin Jones 76 r-yds; 1 td; 6 rec; 34 r-yds (20.0 pts)

Marion Barber 96 r-yds; 1 td; 4 rec; 9 r-yds (20.5 pts)

'Bout time all of my RBs had good weeks. I was getting sick of MBIII & LJ playing Jeckel & Hyde regarding who'll suck & who'll star each week.

I specifically targeted Jones 2 weeks ago and landed him in half of my attempts. He looked great today. One thing he doesn't get enough credit for is his toughness with the ball. He's no Marion Barber, but he certainly runs the ball with a pair. Couple that with his quicks and you've got one of the more talented backs in the league.

I actually like kevin in ppr, but he's got a tough schedule and he's hurt all the time.

I DID try to trade for him early in the year, though, but couldn't get him.

I don't really see det running the ball all that much or that well vs kc, sd, the giants, gb, or minny.

and maybe even dallas considering the likely score.

I'd take him if I could get him, but he'd probably get knocked out the next game if I did.
