I have Kevin Jones and a roster spot to burn for now. Who is the best backup to get as his handcuff? I've seen Arlen Harris, Brian Calhoun, and Shawn Bryson as possibilities. Who is the one who will get the most carries or produce the best numbers if/when Jones gets injured?

I'm not handcuffing anyone to KJ, but if I did it would be Calhoun.

All the local writers have said that Martz still loves Harris from the St. Louis days and that he would fill in on first and second downs if KJ were to get hurt. Pretty sure that if KJ went down, Martz would abandon the run for the most part.

I hear that. I suppose that's what I'm most afraid of. Harris just seems like an OK backup, 3-5 carries per game type of guy. Calhoun has potential, but as far as I can tell he's just fast. And UW RB's don't exactly have a great track record recently. Bryson is Bryson, nothing special, and probably the FB this year.Jeez, after reading my own post here, maybe it isn't worth getting any of these guys after all. Did anyone out there pick up a handcuff for Jones?

I picked up Harris, but I am in a very large league so it makes more sense. In a normal league I would look elsewhere.

Yes, my handcuff is Roy Williams.
