Kiss on the cheek triggers trouble for same sex couple on Hawaiian vac (1 Viewer)

But let's be real. What the cop and witness were "alarmed" by is that it was by two women. And that's the real problem. This would have never happened to one of the hundreds of thousands of heterosexual couples that vacation/honeymoon in Hawaii that might do the same EXACT same thing.
Hey, how about that! We agree on something.

Brohans I dont think its cool to hate on women who love eachother just for making out maybe instead of being offended you should try loving your own significant other. You can take that to the spank bank bromingos

Maybe. You've been defending the cop's actions yet you agree the girls were not treated fairly (equally). What do you suggest people do when they aren't being treated fairly based on their sexual orientation? Which is harassment btw.

Let's just diffuse this here and set the record straight. I'm sorry if you think I've been defending the cops actions. I stated from the beginning that their story seemed fishy but that there's issues with the cop's story as well, including the missing video (which really isn't unreasonable) and dropped charges. No idea why you keep focusing on me "defending" the cop. The only "defense" I've really given is to point out that the girls did more than they claim according to the witness, and the resultant hostility (Wilson: "he did get hit") which led to the assault charge.

Now, to answer your question. We "assume" the girls were not being treated fairly. Without video or more witness accounts all we have is he said-she said. We really don't have enough info to make that judgment call but in the internet world we don't need "proof", we can certainly make assumptions. If we were to take the girls story at face value it's certainly harassment. Even with the witness' account there was not enough to draw the ire of the cop, so we could say he was being a ####, possibly a homophobe. The reaction from the girls once at the checkout line is what I would take exception with. Though not illegal (might be in some jurisdictions), it's never a good idea to tell a cop to #### off. Hitting a cop doesn't fly either. Better to let it play out peacefully. Record the event if possible and file a lawsuit.

Hey, let's all start punching cops in the face when we don't agree with them. Don't touch me! :boxing:
In cases like this? Yeah, let's.

The need for so many around here to summarily slobber on the knobs of cops, no matter what, is very same-sexy.

:wall: I'm the last to slob on the knob of a cop. I'm being practical. Sue me for being practical. You're so ####### brave, I have an idea. Go set up a camera and punch a cop and get back to us.

I think there are two things at play here, one for each side.

1. I think the cop's reaction ( and witness' discomfort ) are specifically tied to seeing a homosexual couple engaging in any form of PDA.

2. I think the couple's reaction to being told to cut it out was initially and immediately hostile, feeling they were singled out for their homesexuality.

While hetero couples may engage in similar behavior, they may also be told to get a room or to cut it out. I doubt that most hetero couples would react as combatively.

I also similarly doubt that the cop would engage a hetero couple in the same situation as aggressively.

Bring your pretty asses to Maryland. We'll let you kiss and cuddle in public all you want.

(be sure to be on the lookout for stray bullets though)

Sure, assuming #2 is true, and until the authority in the situation decides to be the adult in the room he's going to get exactly what he deserves: A dropped case, an internal investigation and a lawsuit.

Regardless of what truly happened during the altercation the cop was wrong to aggressively engage the couple, or engage the couple at all according to the law. I don't necessarily blame people for sticking up for their rights when they are being violated.

Yes, yes, this is all well and good, but can we get back to the important business of iSleuthing for more :pics: ?

What kind of a world do we live in where 2 hot lesbians cant finger bang each other wherever the hell they want?

Can this thread becomes the girls kissing girls version of the yoga pants thread?
