Kitna on this weeks Cheatsheets! (1 Viewer)

I picked him up earlier in the week since Hassleback went down and my back-up (Delhomme) is on bye so I hope their predictions are right :banned:

Nothing like having a decent QB on a team whose defense sux. Wonder what the over/under is for Kitna's pass attempts in that game. I'll say around 50.

I am starting Kitna over Bulger. I think it will be a large week for Kitna.
I'm debating this as well -- I have Bulger, Kitna, Torry Holt, Roy Williams, and Mike Furrey on one of my rosters, and I'm starting all three WRs this week. I'm shuked over whether to go with Bulger or the Detroit Lions trifecta.

Kitna's been a pretty solid play this year in our league, where he's #7 on the QB scoring list, only 2 points behind Brady and 5 points ahead of Grossman. He seems to have gotten pretty comfortable with the Martz offense at this point, and if he could simply cut down on his int's and fumbles, he could easily move up in the rankings. I'd most likely start him this week even if he wasn't the only QB I have who's not out on bye, given the matchup he's got.

Will Kitna put up good numbers? Yes

Will Kitna turn the ball over a hell of a lot in the 4th quarter when he tries to hit Roy Williams in triple coverage for the tying score? Regrettably also Yes.

Dude would be an every week starter, but turnovers kill in our league and every time he drops back in the 4th quarter, it's like watching an accident in slow motion.

I'm satarting him in full confidence in my league with no negative points for turnovers. ATL has a horrible pass defense.

Don't forget to put the projections in the context of your league's scoring parameters. Even though Kitna is listed #3, Grossman is projected to have more TDs with fewer yards. Kitna is also getting credit for the possible rushing TD. I've got Kitna, Grossman, and Favre - Grossman's getting the start any time he's at home (assuming the weather isn't too bad).

I'm a Lions fan, but I don't have Kitna on my fantasy team. I'd start him if I had him, but don't take the Lions defense at all.

I have Kitna, Grossman and Leinart...I agree Grossman is probably the better choice this week. The Bear defense will probably provide several more scoring opportunities with turnovers (if the defense doesn't score themselves on the turnovers)...Its a good problem to have this week.

I am trying to decide between Kitna and Romo this week. I am leaning towards Romo.
I just figured it was a sure thing that I would start Grossman this week against Miami, but the cheatsheets are making me think differently.
I have the same dilemma. For now, it's Grossman.
I have both as well and I'm starting Kitna.
Hah! I have both as well, and I've had it marked down all season as a Grossman start. I also was confused when I saw Kitna ahead of him ...ETA- is Abraham starting for Atlanta this week?

I don't get all the Kitna love. The Falcons have an AVERAGE passing D this year (not horrible as was posted above), allowing 1640 yds and 9 TDs vs. the league average of 1470 yds and 9.5 TDs. Giving Kitna a chance of rushing TD against a team that's allowed only 3 rushing TDs all year also don't make a lot of sense.

Grossman goes up against a Miami D that's allowed 12 passing TDs and 7 rushing TDs. Grossman seems like the better play to me.

My choices this week:

#3 Kitna

#4 P. Manning

No way I can bring myself to bench Manning. Their projections are just too close to justify starting Kitna even if he is ranked higher and Manning is playing NE.

Being a "QB late" guy, there haven't been too many times where I have been able to pretty much forget about the position, knowing that I was set. This is one of those years. 250/1-2 every week. Keeps me in plenty of games

Add me to the list of guys with Kitna and Grossman... I have Kitna in there right now, but leaning towards Grossman, as more of a steady play.

With Plaxico a "game time decision" I'm actually thinking of starting Kitna over Eli since the NYG's will just be able to run the ball all over HOU.

me too. i've been happy with kitna all year as a fantasy owner. as a lions fan on the other hand... :bag:

I'm playing Kitna - AND the Atlanta D. Didn't have a lot of choices. Could work out. Wouldn't mind 300 yards, 3 TD's, and 2 picks for TD's!

By all means start Grossman over Kitna in any given week if you feel like he's the better option. As far as being a more steady play goes though, how'd that work out in week 6 vs. Arizona for you? Kitna hasn't had any really huge games this year, but he also hasn't had a performance that poor yet this year.I'm just sayin' ...

I think I'm starting Kitna over Brady -- in fact I've been doing this for a few weeks. Good thing Kitna had a bye last week.

I didn't own Kitna in week 6, unfortunately  But to say that one bad week for Grossman makes Kitna a preferred option is also a bit of a stretch, IMHO.

Saw this one coming a week ago, and traded a couple of my bench players away for him. I beleive Kitna could be top five for the rest of the year, and I'm ectstatic to see him getting all the love (arguably a little bit too high) :D

if they were merely average, they wouldn't be the 27th ranked Pass D in the NFL.

I think Bulger is a much safer play than Kitna. In the Chiefs last couple road games, they have given up at least 2 TD's passing in all of them. The bottom line with Kitna is he is not winning, and the INT's hurt when they give you negative points.

I'm thinking the same thing. I actually just traded for Eli Manning to be able to optimize my QB based on matchups. Lions plays the Bears in week 16...if I'm in the superbowl I don't want my QB going up against the Bears. I'm still sticking with Kitna this week. I also have a feeling NYG will run and run, especially if Plax is out or limited. Not to change subject, but this could be a big week for Brandon Jacobs...lots of potential goal-line carries.I would not play Kitna over Bulger like some posters have been saying...that seems crazy to me. Bulger is on fire, playing at home, and against a suspect passing defense.
