Kyle Orton Owners (1 Viewer)

Orton has had an epic collapse over the past few weeks. His matchups on paper were decent, but he has failed miserably. I have not seen the games, but his numbers are horrid.

The interim head coach has no apparent allegiance to Orton – he could easily be given the hook week 15 in favor of Tebow. The Broncos are long out of the playoff hunt, so this is a huge risk.

Although Orton’s upside is still undeniably high, his downside is too risky. I’m going to have to roll out Flacco over Orton in one league and Fitzpatrick over Orton in another. Wondering what other owners are doing with Orton.

Yeah, what happened here? I'm definitely not playing him next weekend. I'm considering benching Lloyd as well for Mike Thomas.

No way! There is no excuse for not being able to put up numbers against Arizona. I would probably pick up someone like Kerry Collins and play him against Houston. I think the coaching change thing has made it more likely that Orton is trotted out there again, because a guy trying to get the coaching job long term is not going to put a developmental qb out there.

This is a terrible situation that I want no part of.

Unless you truly have no other options, I don't see how you can start Orton. That was an embarrassment yesterday. I was shocked he didn't get benched.

Good call on Kerry Collins. I'm debating picking him up and playing him instead of Fitzpatrick. I like the matchup against the Houston secondary. Although the Titans are a run first team, the Bills have kind of become one as well.

I have to echo the sentiments of...if you started Orton in your playoffs, are you really playing this week? Now of course there are leagues that have consolation brackets and the like, so it's still a legitimate question. Personally, as someone who ended up starting Orton on many teams this year, I couldn't in good faith put him out there in Week 15 unless I had absolutely no other viable alternative.

I fortunately had a bye in both leagues. He would have crushed my championship dreams for sure.

If it wasn't for McFadden, I wouldn't even have an opportunity to bench him next week.

I'm rolling with either Jason Campbell or Eli.

I watched that game, orton started off hot. Had 59 yards on the Broncos first drive. After that he was bad. I wouldn't be shocked if they gave Tebow or maybe even Quinn a shot at some point.
Same thing happened last week. Its inexplicable. I don't recall ever seeing such an epic collapse. It has literally looked like he doesn't know how to throw a football at times.I don't think you can even start him if you're desperate. He's been flirting with negative points two weeks in a row. Unreal.

I have this exact call to make next week.....in the playoffs witha BYE in week 14. Lost Romo and Stafford earlier.

My options for week 15 are Orton, Jason Campbell or Drew Stanton. Thinking I almost have to roll with Campbell against the Broncos.

I have a first round bye thankfully. If not I'd have been crushed. I picked up Kitna last week, but with Romo possibly coming back who knows what to do.

I am really thinking about cutting some fat and Orton might be someone I drop.

Anyone else thinking about straight up dropping him?

Dropping him as my backup for Vick in the playoffs this week. Can't have the chance that he puts up a zero in a key matchup in week 16...

Just for anyone asking - I watched the game - clear to me that he benefitted from McD's influence as the OC - he looked like a dear in the headlights at times.

It was really bad - he looked like he totally lossed his confidence - it was so bad that if I had Orton in a dynasty or a keeper league I would be very concerned.

Not sure how many will have the chance to play him next week.I won't.
The Orton owners all lost in my three leagues yesterday. 2 of the leagues have minus points for turnovers so Orton was -6 on the day. Ortons was living on garbage points all year anyway..finally got his comeuppance.

That's not entirely fair. The guy threw for 3300 yards in their first 11 games, that ain't just garbage time. Just to double check, he threw for 1643 of those yards in the first halfs of his games... almost exactly half. Plus overall 20 touchdowns and 6 ints, that's outstanding.Something good was going on in that passing game, I have no idea why the wheels came off so badly and so suddenly.

I'm still alive, but I'm going with Kitna over Orton for next week. Even if he starts, there's still too much of a chance he could get pulled for Tebow mid-game.

He's got Houston in week 16, but hard to trust him to even make it that far. I will likely lose my 1st round playoff matchup because of him, and no way I'm starting him in week 15. I have Freeman as a backup, so that's the direction I'm going.

Thanks to Rundmc I do have choice to make next week inregards to Orton. It is either him or Sanchez

If I get lucky enough to pull off a win in either of my Orton leagues there is no way he sniffs my starting lineup again. F that guy.

:lmao: This mental image cracks me up. Orton put up NEGATIVE 8 points in my league. Thankfully I had a bye...but I don't know if I can start him. Sadly it's a start 2 league and my only other option will be the likes of Alex Smith. This is ugly.

In a 16 team dynasty I've had to play Orton because of Romo's injury. I might survive this week's playoff game because my opponent had Rodgers at QB. There isn't much available for QBs on the WW, but I am tempted to drop Orton for Kerry Collins in week 15. If I make it to the championship game I'll have to hope Romo plays in week 16.

Orton is on the Yahoo can't cut list..... crap. I was going to pick up Garrard too. Kitna or Garrard for the win

I don't know how you can attribute Orton's performance to anything to do with McDaniels- he had a meltdown before he was fired and a meltdown after he was fired.

Oh! Maybe he hasn't been getting the spy-cam footage of opponents practicing the last two weeks? Otherwise, I got nothing.

McFadden has given me the chance to start Orton again.... not sure Im going to do it.

Kitna is my backup...we'll see if I have the cojones.

Same boat - would have gotten destroyed this week (so far, Brady would have scored exactly half of my team's total points this week had it counted. :X ). Reeeealllllllly hoping that Cassel's appendix surgery doesn't flare up. Orton's situation scares me.

I traded for Orton 3 weeks ago in order to upgrade my QB spot heading into the playoffs. Had been using Favre and Garrard all year. Last week he cost me 1st place in my conference and the bye week that comes with it, this week he'll cost me my whole season unless Foster can beat Boldin by atleast 6 points.

Garrard will be starting next week if I make it.

Hmm... Garrard is usually Lucy to the Charlie Brown of playoff runs. Maybe Orton has stolen that mojo. Or maybe not...

I have him. Won this week, despite his -0.9 points.

Its a 16-team league so I don't have much else at QB - Hasselbeck is my other option.

If I had to choose today, I would probably start Hasselbeck at home against Atlanta. But, I'll probably just flip a coin next sunday around 3:30.

Orton owner here and I'm somehow still clinging to a small lead in my game going into tonite. My backup is Cutler and I might just have to hold my nose and roll with him next week if I make it. Orton was absolutely attrocious yesterday. I watched the game and he couldn't even get the ball to Knowshon in the flat or on screens. His expression was priceless....like he had no clue what to do to get back on track. He's got a particularly annoying look anyway - like a ferret. I was yelling at him so ofthen thru the TV yesterday that I scared the kids. What a putz.

Flacco over Orton or (gulp) kerry collins off the waiver wire....looking like flacco
Exact same decision I'll have to make, and luckily they arren't bad options:-Joe Flacco: Playing against NO which has allowed the least amount of points to fantasy QBs this year. I think a lot of that has to do with them playing bad offenses like MIN/SF/CAR/TB/CLE/CAR/SEA, I do think they have a good and very opportunistic defense, but not the best. Flacco has also been a top 10 QB in my leagues this year.-Kerry Collins looked alright last Thursday night, and will be facing the worst pass defense in the league and also have Kenny Britt back with one game under his belt.Guess we could do worse with other options but for those who don't want to start Orton next week, Collins should be a nice start.Only reason I didn't trade Orton for Greg Jennings four weeks ago was because of his Championship week matchup against Houston. Might as well be on Revis island.
