Except for the ACL and MCL (which is a significant injury), sounds like a description one could have read about Mike Bell last preseason.

For some reason, NO doesn't seem to want to give Thomas "bell cow" type touches, and they limit his touches. Perhaps Betts is going to be a part of that this season. At the very least, it seems too early to surmise that he might not even make the team.

to be fair PT has lost carries in the past to the ghost of duece mcallister and journeyman mike bell. if betts can walk into the huddle, he's as good as those two

The reason would be that it works. Pierre/Bush were fresh and sharp in the post season. No reason to wear them out in the regular season.
