Leaving from midtown on a Sunday afternoon--what's the approximate travel time to either airport?

You want Laguardia. Probably half hour.

LaGuardia, other two airports are brutal.

but really, EWR is never an option. leaves LGA or JFK. lga is not as much a 3rd world country and better from The GCP via tri boro.

depends where you are in midtown - if at Penn Station and don't have a lot of luggage, taking train to JFK or EWR in 30 mins is a breeze...

EWR is certainly an option if you are on the Westside from around the Holland Tunnel up to 86th St or so. It would still be 30-45 minutes, but if you can quickly shoot into one of the tunnels you'll be there in fairly quickly. LGA can be a pain to get to from the westside if there is any traffic as there isn't a good way to get East to the FDR. JFK is really only for those going international or below 14th St or so.

Only downside of LGA is that it's the most likely of the three to be delayed. The earlier in the day the better in that regard.

EWR not an option from The standpoint that delays of 3-5 hours daily are Common.
